I thought, in a group of librarians and library aficionados (aficionadi?) that perhaps someone might have this in the back of their head. It was in mine, but seems to have been pushed out over the years. The short story of which I write is a late 19th or early 20th century work, possibly by Mark Twain, but also possibly not. The text is a transcription of numerous telephone conversations between a man and woman, becoming a courtship and eventually marriage, all over the telephone. Thanks to anyone who can assist.

This is not a Librarians Group issue, but one for the What's The Name of That Book??? group. Closing thread.
