Discuss the book here!

The question to think about is:

Who - in House of Hades - do you think the true hero/heroine is? Which demigod proved themselves the most?

Explain why you chose them, with reference to the book.

Feel free to extend the discussion beyond the questions and simply talk about the book as well :D

Wei-Wei (wwchen) | 21 comments This is a tough question to answer as each faced challenges that were hard to overcome. The first person to come to mind was Nico, but he was more of a hero for himself for finally admitting who he is. Then I thought of Bob and Damasen who were really the ones who stood out the most for me, but they aren't demigods. I can't make a decision, Hazel came into her magic, Piper found her own unique strength, Frank was finally able to grow into his natural son of the war god self, and Leo also settled into a comfortable position within the group.
I guess my final decision would be Frank. He proved himself in Venice and in the House of Hades.

Great answer! <3

Daphne I actually have no idea. It could be any of the demigods, or characters like Bob. I just have no idew. It's just not Piper...I hate her.

Wei-Wei (wwchen) | 21 comments Why do you hate Piper?!

Daphne To Zoe: I don't really know. I used to think that it was because she never did anything (I know, she definitely does stuff now- but she didn't always do stuff), but now I think that I just don't like her character. Sorry if she's your favorite character. :D

Ooh ... all the demigods really proved themselves. That's why I loved this book so much!
There's so much Character development!

I think the reason for so much character development was the fact that Percy and Annabeth weren't in the picture. They had their own battles/ challenges to face, therefore the other demigods had a chance to shine in the spotlight.

If I had to choose I would say Frank or Hazel.
