I just moved my 2013 list to the finish line, so I thought I would go ahead and start my 2014 thread. This year, I'm going to slack. I know that is bad to say, but sometimes I feel like reaching this goal is homework. So I'm just going to read when I can and not worry about it. I plan on reading a couple of classics I should have read a long time ago like "The Great Gatsby", a few Hollywood bios that are supposedly juicy and a lot of children's lit which I adore. I can't wait to dig into "Harriet the Spy" and stuff I haven't read in decades.

Ooh, sounds like a fun year of reading! I'd wish you good luck, but it doesn't sound like you need it. Instead, I'll just say "Enjoy!!" :)
I'm going to do things a bit different this year. In the past, I've forgotten some books because I forget to add them after I read them. So I'm going to add my books I will read for a month and each monthly goal will be obtainable. If I read more, I will add them at next month's post. If I don't read one, I will delete it. But since I'm setting obtainable goals, that shouldn't be a problem. January books:
1."I could pee on this and other poems by cats" on my overdrive app and "dog shaming". Both were short so I will count as 1.
2. "Perfect" overdrive app
3. "Unbelievable" overdrive app
4. "Dad is Fat" library rental
5. "Weird Things Customers Say in Bookstores" obtained from library.
Adding before I forget...6. "How to Tell if your cat is plotting to kill you", "why grizzly bears should wear underpants" and "21 days to a more disciplined life."
All were short, so I'm counting them as one book.

I have fond memories of one of my teachers (5th grade, maybe) reading it aloud to the class. Made me want to get a notebook and go out observing, just like Harriet.
Have a great year of reading.

Hi Tori, I just recently acquired Knit one, Kill two. I would be interested in your feedback on the book once you have finished it.

I couldn't get through it. I just didn't find the characters engaging. Maybe I'm just not in a cozy mystery kind of mood with spring coming? I hope you enjoyed it. I replaced it above with another book.
