(view spoiler)[ Circe was so different here in this book from that of Madeline Miller's version. For one, Circe in Miller's book was a daughter of Helios and a sea nymph, and she was somewhat kind. Although, she also sometimes turns sh*t boys into pigs in Miller's version. I guess mythology retelling really depend on the author's perception of a certain being. Nonetheless, I'm still enjoying Riordan's twist to the mythology. (hide spoiler)]
