Sooo...........I'm a new librarian, and I didn't know where exactly to post......I hope this is fine!!! Anyway, I was wondering, if you have two quotes that are practically the same, but one has, say, a few words more than the other one such that one of the quotes encompasses the other, what should you do? Ignore it? And if you want to make it so that only the larger one is still there, but you don't want to delete the smaller one because then anyone who liked it will lose the quote, what do yo do then?

Your apprentice is happy with both of them and so are a number of other Goodreaders.
In this specific case, and I stress specific case, I would say that the extra bit doesn't add anything to the overall quote but some fans clearly like both of them so I wouldn't go out of my way to combine them.
Under no circumstances should either of them be deleted.

It would read as the most popular one BEFORE it was combined which in this case is the shorter one.
When you find others that might need combining you can ask for help here.
