Altered Buddy Read

Karen, Jen, Katelyn, and I are doing a buddy read for Altered! It will start Friday Dec. 13th.

This buddy read is open to everyone who would like to join in!! There are no set chapters per day, we just read at our own paces and start each post with how far along you are, i.e., Chapter #, %, using spoilers where needed. Have fun!

Another epic buddy read!!

I was going to start reading earlier today, but I ended up having to go into work very early today. One of my co-workers had the stomach flu, and another one was called in to our sister nursing home to fill in--so my boss Janice was left all by herself--to cook and serve and clean up lunch for 60 people! She called me this morning panicking, so I saved her butt, and she was so happy when I got there! So another good Christmas deed me thinks, but on the bummer side, I lost a lot of reading time!

But I'm now OFF WORK until Monday afternoon--so YAY!!! Going to start reading in a little bit!

I'm 15% in! I'm really liking it so far. I had questions like (view spoiler)[how does Anna find this whole "4 boys are locked up in her basement" normal without really questioning it at all. It just is... But then I went back and read the description and now I have new theories. (hide spoiler)]

WOW, this book is AMAZING!!! I'm already at 66% and its so good! (view spoiler)[ so we just found out that Sura is not Anna's mother...I think that she has also been altered. I don't even know if that is her dad! Crazy! (hide spoiler)]

Geez, Jenny, you're blasting through. Speed demon! I'm at 39% and also really loving this. I never liked the cover so I think that's why I put off reading this for so long. Hahahahaa..

(view spoiler)[Wow, Anna DID become the kickass gal she needed to be. It'll be interesting to see her character grow in book 2 as she gets more and more confident with herself.

And so glad Dad didn't die.

The Branch feels a bit like "The Shop" from Stephen King's Firestarter.

Too bad that Trey's a bad guy. I think he may join with them in book 2 though. My prediction.

Okay, I finished it!! So good, I gave it 5 stars just in how into the story I was!! So hard to put down! (view spoiler)[ That was a good twist, with Anna's sister and family. Also with her being the "Alpha" and Trev being a plant! That part when Anna learned that Trev was betraying her was heartbreaking for me! I think you may be right, Karen! Overall, loved the story, the characters, the twists, EVERYTHING! (hide spoiler)]

I can't wait to read the sequel on this one!
