Detective Caecilius Rex doesn’t like the robot that waits on him at the Dartley Police Station (10 stories, 150 cameras). It is always mispronouncing his name. Chief of Police Kendra Nai (29) is now in charge. The duo go to the Forensic Lab guarded by PC Michael Spinner.

Dr. Li Ewan is the pathologist. The copse had just been strangled, the facility was put on lockdown. 1 camera film reveals a skinny maintenance man. Redd Richmond suddenly appears. The duo interrogate 2 robots; Nag & Boa. Dr. Li Ewan had told them not to clean the polish counters 1 & 6. The Dr. had received a phone call about the blood samples, he was strangled.

Rex & Kindra live side/side each other & are going to the Official Police Cotillion is a highly prestigious social event to celebrate the good work of the Police & Judicial Services do. Angelica Lane is there, she asks Cae to dance. The Cotillion is canceled because PC Michael Spinner is PC Michael Spinner dead.

The duo go back & find GRAVITY boy from the Atomic Circus still alive, he was arrested for the duel homicides. Detective Smyth tells Cae he thinks its Kendra who did it, circumstantial evidence; she found both of them. Cae goes to Redd Richmond mansion, & later to Dartley Police Station. Cae & Kendra ask him if he has anyone who can find out more about the GRAVITY boy & Thomas Watt. He makes a call & the 3 go to a warehouse to meet Manda, she gives them the address for Thomas Watt’s place. Next stop; Wincher’s Clocks, owned by Archibald Watt, who also messed up the robots at the station. The 3 encounter a gauntlet; oscillating swords, Cae high on RESISTANCE had thrown Redd down a chute. Close by was a massive circular saw that led to a tunnel…

The Watt family could be involved in the murders; it’s the 60+ robots. Their organization is known as the Clockworkers. Damian Jobe & other higher ups in public industries are members of The Face. They killed Jennavive Rex. The police force brings in Dr. Howard Fowler & ask him if the robots have the ability of artificial intelligence (killing machine), of course; could he be a robot, or maybe Kindra?…

What an exciting paranormal, mystery (?), the unique name for the drugs, suspense filled, great story plot, easy to read/follow, exciting characters, in my younger days there was a Yul Brenner movie similar to this, this could be the next, or maybe a TV series.

I will defiantly give this book 5 stars.
