Do you have a book reading strategy?

I aim to read 100 pages a day and if I can read more it's a bonus. And I too also like to finish on a chapter. I've only been trying to read that amount of pages since joining here as it helps me to keep up with the challenges, but it does help me to get through my books a bit quicker :)
I just read! If it's a good book I read instead of sleeping and can get through any number of pages in a day. If it's a dud I can fall asleep half way through a chapter and I don't care! (Half way through a sentence even) My only real strategy is to read the books I have borrowed from the library before the ones I own because they have a habit of wanting them back.

I'm in the car a lot, so I try and fit in some reading time with an audio book. And when I'm home, I do put a couple of hours aside to read a physical book.
I don't keep tabs on the page numbers but I like to finish the days reading at the end of a chapter or where I feel comfortable that I can end it - don't want to end it in the middle of a scenario.
On the weekends and holidays is fine. I'll read as much and when I can.

I'm the same, Mish. I read as and when I can - on some days that's half a page when I go to bed before my eyelids start to droop, on others I can plough through the better part of a whole book without blinking an eye!! And the amount I read seems to even itself out so that I can normally get through a seasonal challenge with several extra reads on the side.

for me it depends on the book. If it is reasonably short chapters, I tend to try and read at least two at a time. I like the idea of reading a minimum amount of pages. It is impoetant to me to ensure I get to read everyday or else I feel like I am getting swamped with other day to day stuff (work, study, housework, kids) I need my own escape.
Get up early and if I've completed my professional journal reading while walking on the treadmill with a BookSeat perched on it, I'm allowed to read books (several hours of this). Read over breakfast using my BookSeat (hubby is still in bed, anyway!). Go out for a walk to Austi Beach, via shops & PO, reading. Read over lunch. Sneak in a read between chores. Read after dinner. Read a bit of my bedside read before falling asleep.
Read as much as I can whenever I have the time. It's funny how easy it is to re-prioritize a lot of things to be done AFTER reading:)

I read over lunch as does DH and then about 4pm we both stop whatever we have been doing and out come the books. Of course that often involves chatting at the same time as we talk about issues raised in what we are reading or just general thoughts about characters or story. It doesn't matter that he reads mostly different books to me. Occasionally we mesh on one.

I don't try to fit in a big chunk of the book - otherwise I rush and don't soak it in. And if I go further that expected I feel like I've achieved big :-)
