Marco strolled into the Clock Tower. It was a nice day out and he wasn't in the mood for studying, so he decided to just wander.
Clem stood a short distance away humming to the loud beat the clock seemed to be keeping as the pendulum swayed back and forth and back and forth...
He saw a girl standing not far away and casually walked over. "Nice tune you've got there," he said softly.
Clem turned quickly to see who the speaker was, stopping humming abruptly. She had been alone just a few minutes ago... She recovered promptly, however, and smiled a little. "Thank you," she replied.
"Err... Thanks," Clem murmured, unsure what exactly that was supposed to mean. "Anyway, I'm Clemira. What's your name?"
((yay ok!))After the dementor ordeal, Allegra wandered the school. She had finished her homework and had nothing else to do. She walked into the clock tower and saw two people, only one she recognized. "Hey, Clem!" She smiled and walked over.
"Hello, Allegra," Clem smiled, looking right past the boy towards the girl whom she had met earlier that day.
Allegra smiled, then looked at the boy. He was wearing Slytherin colours under his robes. "Hello, I'm Allegra," She said breezily.
"Likewise," She said politely. Allegra turned to Clem. "So you haven't seen any more dementors, right?"
"Same," Clem addressed Marco before grinning at Allegra, "I don't think so... But I didn't realize what it was up in the owlery, so..."
She nodded, addressing Marco's question."Yes, it was quite interesting really. There haven't been any dementor sightings at Hogwarts since I was in third year. D'you think there's another escaped criminal or something?"
Marco shook his head. "No, not a single criminal has escaped from Azkaban recently." Sadly, he knew this as a fact, seeing as his father was the one who organized half the prison breaks.
"Huh. It might've been some crazy dementor who got lost and accidentally came to Hogwarts, but I doubt that's the case."
"You're right," he said smoothly, nodding in agreement. "I'm sure it does. Maybe it'll call for an investigation of some sort."
"It probably will," Allegra agreed. "D'you think we should report it to Dumbledore?" She asked Clemira.
"I don't know..." Clem admitted. She really had no idea what to do. It had seemed pretty unimportant before she really thought about it...
"I'm sure Dumbledore has more important things on his mind, but it's always worth a shot," Marco said. He never really cared for the headmaster, no matter how much everyone else gushed about him.
"You have a point, there are lots of things going on ever since last year..." How could anyone forget the death of Cedric Diggory? "We don't need to mention it to him just yet,"
"Not before we have something we can really tell him..." Clem examined the others' expressions. "Are we going to dig?"
Clem grinned. "Good." She didn't add that two Slytherins and a Ravenclaw working together was bound to end badly.
((sorry guys!!!! :(( ))Allegra smiled. "I haven't done much digging before... I wonder if I'll be good at investigating..." She mused.
"I'm sure it won't be too hard. I haven't 'investigated' before either," he lied smoothly. Truthfully, he figured this would be simple. Ask around a bit, get the gossip from the drunkards down at the Three Broomsticks, that sort of thing.
"Do you guys know when the next Hogsmeade weekend is?" Clem asked, even though it was entirely unrelated to the topic at hand.
"And a good place to investigate," Marco said, winking. "I'm certain a few rounds of butterbeer and some sugary candies will get people talking."
"True. So we'll investigate next weekend. At least I know I will be. This is something at least a little interesting, and I've got nothing better to do," Allegra said.
"Of course we will," he said with a dazzling smile. "I could buy you a sweet or two, if you'd like."
Clem stared at him for several seconds. Then, she burst out laughing.
After a few minutes, her giggles relented, to be replaced by a grin. "I'm sorry... The way you said that..."
Sadie strolled into the Clock Tower.
Sadie looked over at Hermione. "What are you doing?" She sat down next to her.
"But that's boring," Sadie whined.
She laughed. "I didn't do so well on my OWLs last year."
