Jim (jimmaclachlan) Many good series listed, but I'd add the Recluce series by Modesitt & the Vlad Taltos series by Brust.

John | 44 comments Lots of good series but Wheel of Time is my favorite including the books finished by Brandon Sanderson.

Don't see it in the list; at least the first 5 books of Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind but then I gave up so can't comment on the rest of the series.

Justinn, Wax and Wayne are my favorite Sanderson characters. I love Stormlight also. Have you read the Lightbringer series yet? It's also great.

I love Wax and Wayne! They are so cleverly written.
I’ve read the first book in the Lightbringer series so far. The magic system is very intriguing and I’m curious as to how the story will play out between the Guile brothers.

Sword of Truth is fantastic. Terry Goodkind gets kinda preachy towards the end of the series, but the story and characters are great. I’ve only read up to Confessor(book 12) and read The Law of Nines.

John | 44 comments Really liked the first 3 books in Sword of Truth; now glad there was dry spell by Terry Goodkind as thought the series was starting to drag a little and don't need preachy. Robert Jordan is the only author I can remember getting thru 13 big books and still enjoying the later ones.

Ian Hall | 169 comments Wheel of time by Robert Jordan, malazan book of the fallen by Steven erikson, the dresden files by Jim butcher and the riftwar saga by Raymond e. Feist. Are my favourite series

Janette | 211 comments Love the original Riftwar trilogy. They got less good as he went on I think. Memory, Sorrow and Thorn by Tad Williams is another favourite. I like sagas that show how societies change as well so the Pern books by Anne Macaffery and the Darkover novels by Marion Zimmer Bradley are some of my all time favourite books.

Elise (ghostgurl) | 1028 comments Mistborn
The First Law
Percy Jackson and the Olympians (Haven't yet finished the last book, but this series would definitely go on my list)
Riyria Revelations
Harry Potter
The Band (Not finished, but shaping up to go on my favorites list)
