Sandra (readingontheporch) You may have to disconnect and reconnect now that they've made it available again. Have you tried that?

Mine's not working either. I've logged in and out on both sites, disconnected and reconnected again, and no luck.

Sassafrass (sass-a-frass) | 6 comments Mine started working too. But, only on new books I've added. not ones that were already on the shelf. *shrugs*

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 445 comments I'm not sure exactly what syncs, so mine is off for now.

I'm actually in the process of deleting books on goodreads once I'm sure I've mirrored over any reviews, statuses, or comments.

After that's done, I wouldn't mind if marking something currently reading or posting a reading status on booklikes echoed back to goodreads. I wouldn't want every add to shelf or book/shelf edit to echo back to goodreads. But, so far booklikes doesn't have any options I could find for tweaking the sync.

AnnaLund | 33 comments this sync is much a matter of All or Nothing, right?

I don't think I'm interested in that, because that would mean that GR gets my reviews. and I want the new ones to stay only on BL.

Or: can you tweak the syncing to just adding books to shelves? Because the shelves on GR are better, unfortunately.

Petra X (petra-x) Is the sync two way? I thought it was just GR to BL?

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 445 comments No, it's only booklikes to goodreads (I think, I haven't turned back on since reinstated).

I'd use it too if it offered the option of excluding reviews. I have no intention of allowing GR to have my reviews any longer.

And the Sync is only one way: BookLikes -> GoodReads

Well, goodreads reviews support extremely limited html coding. There may not be a problem with either site or the API; could just be that the review coding in booklikes os too "rich" for goodreads more limited options to translate.

To test, on booklikes edit one of your reviews, select HTML and copy everything in the HTL editor window. Go to book on goodreads in review space paste what you manually copied and see how it looks.

Dawn (dawnv) It does not seem to work for me.
So far I have disconnected from BL and logged off GR ...then I logged back on to GR and reconnected from BL but still nothing shows up.
I wonder if I should even keep it synced since we are getting a new data base and I am not sure if the ISBN will continue to match.

Vero (vero_river) | 7 comments Just have a question, before I start to panic: Is there any other way to export my booklike reviews in a csv file without first syncing it over to GR?

I was searching in BL and couldn't find any option to export. which would mean, that I would loose all content, should I ever decide to leave BL...

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 445 comments At this time, I don't see one either.

I love it on booklikes; but, it will not be my main book cataloging site until an export feature, an actual book catalog, and series information.

Totally agree!

Charming (charming_euphemism) OK, I signed up. https://www.leafmarks.com/lm/#/users/...

I'm not going to much over there for now, but my data is there.

Heather (creaturefromthesea) | 2 comments I'm looking at moving on the LeafMarks, but I can't seem to find an export button at BookLikes, and I've added a crap ton of books since I switched from GR. Is there an export button that I can't see, or am I going to have to sync with GR? If that's the case, I can get banned from GR because I have since added BBA shelves on BookLikes.

message 17: by Petra X (new)

Petra X (petra-x) Sync with GR, export the csv file and then import it directly into Leafmarks. Rename BBA shelves in GR something innocuous or, if you are really paranoid, rename them in GR before exporting the csv.
