Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
question
Favorite male character, but not HP, any Weasley, no Professors, Hagrid, or fantastic creatures!

For me? It's gotta be Dudley Dursley, just the sheer depth of character and his heartwrenching backstory . . . how can I resist?

Sirius, and I would say Lupin if he wasn't a professor.
Snape. Got through 7 books, and hated every fiber of his being along the way. But in the end I found myself having so much respect for him, and how he constantly put himself in harms way to protect Harry. He did so much for Harry, even if he did it for reasons other than actually liking him.
Lee Jordan! His Quidditch commentary was hilarious.
Draco Malfoy, NO. QUESTION.

My favorite male character would be Neville, because of his personality :D
I'm gonna break the rules and say my favourite female non-main character is Professor McGonagall.
What's with this fixiation on male characters? Ugh. What nonesense.

He's not necessarily my favorite but... Godric Gryffindor! We don't know a lot about him but he was a founder of Hogwarts!
Draco Malfoy since we aren't allowed to have professors. Otherwise, it would have been Snape.
Snape is my favorite as a character, but not someone I'd want to be pals with. His character development is revealed fabulously.
Draco isn't my favorite, but I'll give him an honorable mention. He kept talking about his father, how his father would hear about this, etc, but then you find out his father didn't give a chocolate frog about Draco. Then, in book six, he can't bring himself to
(SPOILER: kill dumbledore SPOILER OVER)
and in book seven he almost doesn't join Voldemort's side. Can you imagine how great he would've been if he wasn't such a coward?
And my favorite as someone I *would* want to know is Neville. He's a great wizard, but his grandmother got in the way too much. Making him use his dad's wand in the first few books impeded his magical ability. And he destroyed the last horcrux.

You ruled out all my favorite characters so...Oliver Wood. I love his pep talks and how he tries to encourage Harry before the fist game but makes him nervous instead. I also love how other characters act around him. "Couldn't you have told us this yesterday when we were awake?" and the one where either Fred or George says that they should contact Puddlemere United and find out if Oliver was killed in a training session because Angelina seems to be channeling his spirit are two of my favorites.
Luna and Neville would be it. Luna for her quirks and Neville for his grit and courage. Like 'em both ter bits. He he..
