Not to mention new writers James Oswald and A.D. Scott who don't seem to have made any of these lists!

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) My preliminary list is at my blog! I don't think ANYONE else knows Robert Sutherland's brief series. A Canadian, setting most of his novels in Scotland. I was incredulous they were listed as 'YA', which is not my mainstay at all. Other than no sex or decent kiss between the hero pair, these sound like adult mysteries. Great adventures. http://cmriedel.wordpress.com/2013/11...

C. (Comment, never msg). (riedel) If I've helped, I'm glad! I've mentioned to Peggy, the Kaitlyn Dunnetts aren't set in Scotland. They are a Scottish store in the USA.
