Teri, didn't Thelma and Louise drive their car off the edge of the Grand Canyon and kill themselves at the end? Yikes! :o)

Please go for the hotel Teri! We'd miss you!!! Hm, I don't have an entire list, but I definitely started one last weekend. The lady who owned the B&B we stayed in had a wall of hiking trail certificates, saying that she had walked the entirety of this trail or that. One of them was for the Bruce Trail here in Ontario, and I then and there realized that I would love to see Ontario from top to bottom. Probably I'll have to grab some girlfriends when we are all retired and rich, but I'm looking forward to it already!
Had a "Thelma & Louise" trip that I can mark off my bucket list; except I want to do it again! My best friend and I rode a Greyhound bus from IL to AZ to move my son home for the summer! That was an experience in itself and at one point we were very tempted to stay in a little town with a neat looking bar and catch the next bus! Hence one of my favorite quotes, "Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down." (Oprah)
Anyway, on the way back across the country, we were driving one car, my son another...we 'did' the Grand Canyon, had a picnic on the rim; Mesa Verde, climbed the ladders and had to take a detour because of a terrible fire in CO; had to stop abruptly numerous times because elk were in the middle of the road; we stayed at Dodge City which you would think would be a happening place but actually closes down about 9 pm; just a real crazy trip and very memorable! I'm thinking maybe that is the kind of 'fun' you are talking about Teri!

Teri, your Thelma and Louise ending sounds MUCH better! :D Love the "full-body massage (in their memory, of course)" part! Too bad you couldn't get Brad to join you. LOL
Jo, great list! I LOVE to watch the moon rise (and set).

I had one of those road trips once. Late 1970's, when I was young, single and gutsy. Drove a little Honda from Minneapolis (home at the time) up to Edmonton, Alberta. Was one of only two Caucasians allowed in a private Sun Dance. Left my car in a barn and drove two four-wheel-drives up the Al-Can highway to White Horse Yukon Territories. Among other things, did a sweat lodge. Drove back, picked up my Civic, and drove across the mountains to Vancouver. Drove Route 1 all the way from Vancouver to San Diego and home to Minneapolis. *sigh* Those were the days. Incredible scenery, experiences, memories. I did have a major $$$ repair in California. The guy who did the work faked a warranty claim even though the car was used. He said any woman who had the guts (he used a male anatomical term) to make a trip like this deserved something. My 20 something kids hear these stories and they think their much older Mom is a bonafide grown up hippie.

I agree Kelly Jo, though honestly I could have done without some of those frogs - I think I had more than my fair share, lol!
My scrapbook group all read Twenty Wishes by Debbie Macomber together and then we each decided to make a scrapbook with our own twenty wishes in it. We are supposed to do write down two wishes a month Feb-Nov. I am a little behind but here is my list so far:#1 to own my own dream home
#2 to travel to Europe
#3 to spend the night in a castle
#4 to meet Tim McGraw and Brett Favre
#5 to visit Lambeau Field (hope to do this this summer)
#6 to visit the original colonies
#7 go to a Barnum & Bailey circus
#8 go to a PBR rodeo
#9 to take a history class for fun
I love the "take a history class for fun!" too bad things aren't so fun when you 'have too...' Any particular era of history Angela?
I like anything from the 1800s and futher back. Not really into WWI or WWII era. I like medivel and 1800s the best.
