My favorite - which I found very touching - is a documentary about choosing to dieHere's the link: Terry Pratchett: Choosing To Die (2011) - Full Documentary
“Don’t worry,” he jokes. “I don’t fancy dying yet.”Good. I hope he lives and continues to write for many years to come. I dread not being able to look forward to the next Discworld book. I ordered Raising Steam from Canada, because it won't be published here in the U.S. until next year. After I pre-ordered it, the Canadian publication date went from 11 November to 9 December. Still better than next year, but I'm still waiting. I also haven't read The Long War yet because The Long Earth was probably the first Pratchett book I didn't absolutely love. The Long War is on my library TBR list, though. They now have a copy, and I'll get to it. :-)
This is a lovely interview written while Sir Terry was doing promotion for Raising Steam. Terry Pratchett interview: a fantasy writer facing realityA wonderful synopsis of his life and how the Discworld came to be. Terry Pratchett: 'Fantasy is uni-age'
Thanks for these links, Penny. There is a monthly Discworld newsletter for Discworld fans by Discworld fans. I've subscribed to it for years. http://www.discworldmonthly.co.uk/
Ah yes thanks D.L. I've been told about them but I've never signed up. I blame the fact that I'm never in front of a computer whenever it comes up. No excuses this time :)
Just signed up as well. Thanks for the linkThis is a good reading guide: http://www.lspace.org/books/reading-o...
There was a tv programme about him going to Borneo to see the oran-u-tangs at a sanctuary he visited some while ago. It was really moving, as he was very frank about his illness and his hopes and fears for the future.

I very rarely cry watching any kind of movie, documentary or drama, but this one really got to me (especially the man who basically sang himself to sleep with his wife).
