I guess you can tell my taste in books huh?? Fantasy, Historical Fiction and Canadian Literature."

LOL! That's because of your status update and it sounded interesting!

Though that reminds me, I meant to ask if you've read The Janissary Tree?? It's a five book mystery series set in Istanbul, turn of the century. It was really good on audiobook. Though I had to read the last one in paper as I couldn't wait.

I thought I had added this to my TBR list, but I didn't see it. It is there now! I remember seeing the title before. I do not see it available on Overdrive, but I will check my library for it on CD. I am getting pretty good at asking for ILLs.

Still waiting for #7 of Charles Lennox. I need to make sure it is really ordered for me. The last guy at the help desk was not very sure about the process and I left him writing an email to someone.

I came across another book narrated by James Langton and had to laugh while I was listening to the sample (I don't even remember the name of the book, but I added it to my wishlist on Audible). I was laughing, because all I could think of was Charles Lennox while he was reading. His voice is so much about why I like the Lennox series, I am sure.

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I finally finished my Mickey Mouse Marchers section and asked Janice for my badge. I will plod on with the next section, but I don't have my heart set on completing it. I knew I was not going to complete the whole challenge, but it was fun putting it together. I have had too much fun with the group reads and monthly challenges to be serious about the chunkster challenge. The books will just have to wait until I get to them. :)

Dawn (caveatlector) | 1787 comments It always takes me a few chapters to get over thinking of a narrator as the last character. It happens to me all the time with Simon Vance because he's so prolific. :)

I had planned on continuing the challenge past Buzz but I think I'm good now. I'm happy with the 30 chunksters I did read and now I'll save up energy for next year!

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I seem to transition Simon pretty well, probably because I have listened to him a lot more. My absolute favorite is his Holmes and Watson in Dust and Shadows. It is hard for me to appreciate anyone else. Although I have read all of the original stories and books many times, I still want the Audible version with him narrating. He is the only Aubrey and Maturin for me too.

Dawn (caveatlector) | 1787 comments Chunksters Read - 35
Sections Completed - 6 (One book short of the 7th but I won't have time to finish it before midnight, too bad I have to work)
Books Read - 35
Pages Read - 20762
Average pages per book - 593

This is nowhere near how many chunksters I was planning on reading this year but nevertheless I'm still pretty happy with all the ones I did get done. :)
