Dawn's Dash "To infinity and beyond"
Tasha wrote: "don't forget to update the book covers. :)"Oh right. I'll do that when I get home. It's quitting time! :)
I like your list also =] Ooh I really enjoyed River God, I hope you like it =]I'm also thinking about adding The Woman in White it too, just not sure where to make the link yet.
Laura wrote: "I'm dying to see what you think of WeTD, Dawn!"I have a friend reading it and she says it's really good, thus the impulse pick up! I'll let you know.

The Woman in White seems to be a popular one in this challenge. I'm sure you'll find a good place to link it! :)
Setting Britain could work, right Sarah?Dawn, one of my best friends here raves over that book (WtD). Just adored it, and she has excellent taste. I'm sure it'll be good.
Danw, I see that we have both our Safehold books and in the Micky mouse part (unless we change our list...) so this buddy read will not happen in the next weeks. Guess we will see how it goes, but my guess would be March.
I put mine in to match with yours. My list will be ever changing I'm sure (part of the fun) so if I need to move them so we can coincide that will be no problem!
Wow, Dawn, you are either going to burn out your ears or go blind before the end of the month. Breathe girl! Please - I am only kidding. Is this your normal pace?
Cherie wrote: "Wow, Dawn, you are either going to burn out your ears or go blind before the end of the month. Breathe girl!"lol As long as it's only one of them. I must be able to get my fix somehow!!
This is pretty much my normal pace, I am a bit obsessive, I read all the time. And I love chunksters, which I didn't get to a lot last year. So this is catch up!
Ooooh, that will be my very first badge with the group too. :)I was gonna say I won't be done for about 10 days but it could be sooner!
Not for me. It could be quite boring. The story was interesting but it took far too long to tell. Still a 3 star though.
I felt the same way. It think it was hyped up a bit for me. I was so excited to read it and it just didn't deliver like I was expecting.
hmm....ok. Good to know. The person who recommended it to me also loved Shōgun, which I really didn't like and finally abandoned halfway through, so I may need to reconsider this yet again. Sorry to hear it. At least you got through it though.
Laura wrote: "Wow, you are flying! What did you think of We, the Drowned? Did it live up to the hype lol?"This does not bode well. I have it on my Kindle to read.
I'm all envy, Dawn. I just cannot read that fast! On the other hand, I seem to be finding more complex stories and don't want to either. I enjoy looking things up if I want/need to. I can go faster on less involved subjects sometimes.
I love immersing myself in a good book and reading all day. I spend all my weekends reading, all my lunch breaks and I listen to something for my commute. It's more of spending immense amounts of time reading than actually being fast. :)
Five down, one to go and 1 more day off work. I might be able to get Slick's section done tomorrow.....

Finally done Slick's Slugs!! 6 Chunksters down, now to get some of my other reading done......I have a few shorter books awaiting my time. The next six must wait for February.
Wow Dawn! I can't believe how fast you finished! What was your favorite book from your Slick's group?
Marnie wrote: "What was your favorite book from your Slick's group?"Oh, that's easy! The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood
Such an awesome book.

Woot!
Congratulations, it's only two weeks into the year and six chunky books read?? Pretty impressive stuff.
My plans to read shorter books has ended abruptly with me starting The Tyrant's Law by Daniel Abraham. I guess that means I'm tucking into Mickey's Marchers a couple weeks earlier than planned. :)
Marnie wrote: "Wow Dawn! I can't believe how fast you finished! What was your favorite book from your Slick's group?"I like the idea of choosing a favourite from each section! I look forward to when I'm finished the first section so I'm in a position to do so. I'm unfortunately not as quick as Dawn so it will be a while!
Now that you're done Perdido Street Station it should go a bit faster. :)I've heard some good things about most of the books on your Slick's list, you might have a hard time picking a fav!

Yes the other ones in Slick's are a bit shorter too so won't be so bad. I'm trying to weave a couple audios into each section as that will speed up the process too. I'm excited about the books in my Slick's list - very difficult to choose which one to read next!
Added The Blind Assassin to my TBR. Have you read The Penelopiad by Attwood? It has just been released on my library audio app so I'm going to give it a listen - it's pretty short too.
I haven't read The Penelopiad, though I have had it recommended to me before. The Blind Assassin was only my second Atwood book. I am going to try and read a few more this year though, it's just sad that I haven't before. Especially as I own so many. :)
I have about 20 books for audio that I need to get through before I go find myself some more. I have a few series I'm finishing this way.
