"YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE ANYTHING WEIRD! YOU'RE ALRIGHT!"
"So, tell me please, why did you lie to me?"
Emily sighed. He needed to know sooner or later. She cleared her throat and spoke in a beautiful, not at all hoarse, voice. "I did lie to you. About everything. My name isn't Emily. It doesn't hurt to talk. I can laugh without coughing. The FBI isn't after me. I'm not a part of OOSNP."
He looked at her with wide eyes "so who the h*ll are you?!"
"I'm Maria. I'm a member of the FBI. There is no OOSNP."
"I didn't lie about trying to protect you. The FBI is after supernaturals and I think it's wrong. I'm keeping you here so they don't catch and kill you or worse, experiment on you."
"And this is the truth? ALL THE TRUTH?"
Marie nodded. "Yes." She looked down. "I'm sorry."
"I can't answer that for you. At least not truthfully."
"Because...." Emily sighed. "I can't answer that either."
"Because. I'm from the FBI, remember?"
"why every second sentence of you must be a completely secret?"
"Because the FBI made me sign a contract. I can't tell you very much about myself. I'm so sorry." Maria said.
"At least I'm safe... I think..." he whispered
Maria looked down. "As long as they don't come here."
"They know where do you live, don't them?"
Maria nodded. "They know everything about me."
"so how exactly they don't know you're saving supernaturals?" he asked
"Well, maybe not everything." Maria sighed. "You're safe here as long as they don't come here."
She heard a diving sound and realized it was her phone. She pulled it from her pocket and put it to her ear. "Hello?" She nodded. "Ok." She sighed. "Now? You're f**king kidding." She sighed again. "Fine." She hung up and put her phone back in her pocket.
"I have to go to work." She explained. "I was supposed to be on vacation."
She looked at him sympathetically and went upstairs. She went into her garage and hopped into her car and drove away.
She drove to her work and pulled into the parking lot. She got out of her car and walked into the building. Someone greeted her and she smiled back at him then went upstairs to talk to her boss.
He laid on the couch, and thought about stuff
"I think we have a lead on a supernatural." Her boss said excitedly. "Really? Where?" Maria asked with fake enthusiasm.
"In a forest just west if where you live."
"Alright." She looked at the pictures on her bosses desk of a person doing things humans can't. It was Alan. "I'm on it."
He took a drink, and wondered when she'll come back
Maria grabbed the file with the pictures, left the office, went outside and went back into her car. Then she drove home and rushed I to the basement. "They're looking for you."
She showed him the pictures. "They know what you look like."
"How did they take that photo? It's private! It was my brother birthday!" He said
"I'm so sorry. I won't let them find you." She promised.
