Is it an IKEA table? Mine collapsed last year from the weight of a TV!

They obviously saw you coming :-)

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Maybe the £16 is an OAP discount...

Simon (Highwayman) (highwayman) | 4276 comments Well I am back at the citadel of biggleswade.

I had a great time in Edinburgh. A beautiful city and really nice people. I will go back next year as there was lots more I wanted to do.

I did get to see Rosslyn chapel and that was worth every penny. They seem to have a healthy distain for Dan brown but the money they have received seems to be compensating.

I noticed that as well. Their left hand shakes an angry fist at Dan Brown, whilst their right hand is open to accept the tenner notes.

I think they heard me gasping for breath. It's a long walk up those steep steps from the train station.

B J Burton (bjburton) | 2680 comments We spent a very enjoyable week in Edinburgh a few years ago. We passed several hours just strolling to the top of Arthur's Seat taking in the views in all directions. The tour of Royal Yacht Britannia was fascinating and there are some great places for foodies. In a crowded Valvona & Croller we found ourselves sharing a table with Clarissa Dickson Wright. It was good to prop up bars frequented by Rebus - every time the door opened I was expecting Ian Rankin to walk in. A fine city.

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Okay, I'm convinced.

I need to go there. Which week in the year is it warm and dry?

The week you're not there!

Patti (baconater) (goldengreene) | 56525 comments Always the way.

Gingerlily - The Full Wild | 34228 comments Just be prepared for rain, and you might be lucky and get a nice day or two.

Jamie Sinclair | 939 comments Love Edinburgh. We did a bit of an impromptu mini rebus tour one afternoon just because the man himself was in town that day so we went to Fleshmarket Close, the Oxford Bar etc. Great city, all friendly folk, can't wait to go back.
