I just realized I haven't updated this in forever. Here's the remainder of the list books I read in 2009:14. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass - Carroll
15. Watership Down - Richard Adams
16. Everything That Rises Must Converge - Flannery O'Connor
17. Heart of Darkness - Conrad
18. The Third Policeman - Flann O'Brien
19. A Tale of Two Cities - Dickens
So far in 2010:20. The Invention of Morel - Adolfo Bioy Casares
21. Ulysses - James Joyce
22. Evil Under the Sun - Agatha Christie
23. Laughter in the Dark - Nabokov
24. The Survivors of the Chancellor - Jules Verne25. An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge - Ambrose Bierce
26. Haroun and the Sea of Stories - Salman Rushdie
27. Deep River - Shusako Endo
28. Fear and Trembling - Kierkegaard
29. A Brief(er) History of Time - Stephen Hawking
Next on my list is Flowers for Algernon, since I just found out it's a Lost book (!) and I wanted to read it for TNBBC's April group read. After that, I want to focus completely on Lost books throughout the remainder of the season. My short list includes the books listed below. The Chosen
The Sheltering Sky
Valis
Catch-22 (I know many people think it sucks but I'll still give it a shot)
The Mysterious Island
Island
Our Mutual Friend
The Brothers Karamazov
Bad Twin
O Pioneers!
Stranger in a Strange Land
Lancelot
A Wrinkle in Time
If anyone happens to even read this, any suggestions for what I should bump to the top of the list? How much time will Dickens & Dostoevsky take? I own them all, so that's not an issue. :o)

The Brothers Karamazov took me about 3 weeks/month. It was excellent though. I didn't want it to end. This makes me want to read all my Lost books straight through, too.
I loved Brothers Karamazov, but if you want to get a bunch read before the season finale, I'd hold off on it. I echo Luann's recommendations (minus O Pioneers, as I haven't read it), and take Island off all together. ;)

1. Carrie
2. The Stand
3. To Kill a Mockingbird
4. Harry Potter *
5. Slaughterhouse-Five *
6. The Turn of the Screw *
7. The Little Prince *
8. Lord of the Flies *
9. The Pearl *
10. The Old Man and the Sea *
11. Animal Farm
12. Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret
I've got 8 more that I was able to incorporate into Cynthia's challenge, so those will be coming up soon!
