Read the first 35 pages last night. Very intense stuff!I like the interstitial story between the chapters. Curious to see how the two elements interact throughout the book.
Thank you. I've been not reading Mosley since I found him in McElroy's library. I'm in, yes, and prepared.
You're welcome! Speaking of McElroy, you should read this interview: http://numerocinqmagazine.com/2013/12...

I'll have to find a better manner by which to sweep the internet, because I seemed to have missed this one despite my best (not very good) efforts.

I will join in the chorus of love for this book - I do not understand why he is not more celebrated here in the UK (unless his father's shadow has something to do with it)
I am almost done but, alas, work calls!
Things I find striking: the emotions he's describing - love, sadness, loneliness - are the most basic of human emotions. Coupled with such simple (albeit wonderfully constructed) sentences make for a beautiful, eye-opening read. For me, it's like a Terrence Malick film. The story has been told before, but the way in which it's told (Malick's cinematography, Mosley's language) is why it's so extraordinary.

Hello everybody! Tomorrow on Facebook, I will be asking a trivia question about Impossible Object and the winner will receive our next Backlist of the Month, so please keep your eyes open.
On another note: writing the last chapter, The Sea, from the perspective of the woman was brilliant. I'd love to hear other opinions.
Yet another note: Happy (almost) New Year!
