Well a bit of an update here. Roadrunner was tough with so many good reads. I think the best book overall was The Hunchback of Notre Dame, but on a pure enjoyment level Horns probably was my favorite.Heading into Taz I found the worst read of this challenge for me with a 2 star Doctor Zhivago. Taking my time currently with The Idiot while mixing in some shorter reads which included Mockingjay and Suspect and now working of Feed.
Wow Travis! Well done on Taz. I am in awe at how quickly you are getting through these sections. Doctor Zhivago has always intimidated me for some reason but I do want to read The Hunchback.
Marnie while I enjoyed Hunchback Victor Hugo is an author that is love him or hate him I think. If you can get along with his style you are sure to enjoy it, but whose to say. It is much different than what we have seen on film.
Finally working through book 8 of the baroque cycle. After that 2 more books to go by the way of Brandon Sanderson with The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance. They'll take a couple days.
The Way of Kings is great! And I've got Words of Radiance sitting on my shelf for the near future. Enjoy!
that's all she wrote for a wonderful challenge. Some excellent books with only a couple duds in the mix. While The Way of Kings didn't blow me away, I found Words of Radiance absolutely amazing and can't wait for book 3. I wonder if all 10 or 11 books will be 1000 pages. That's epic fantasy for you.
Oh wow Travis! I am so superdooper impressed! You're not trying for beyond now you've hit infinity? :P
Sure I'll go beyond alright. Just not in the fashion of linking my books together. Might just have to knock down a few short ones. After the entire baroque cycle and 2 Sanderson books might be time for some light reading.
I'm speechless, Travis!! What a fantastic accomplishment and in only four months. Your page count must be staggering. Congratulations!

Matterhorn was pretty good. A mix of racial issues and the battles at Matterhorn in the Vietnam war.
20th Century Ghosts is one messed up collection of stories.
Three Musketeers started strong but kind of dragged on toward the middle to end. I did not enjoy it as much as I enjoy the candy bar.
4 stars for everybody
