Yes it is good to have a lighter read to swap to when the going gets tough in another!

I am absolutely loving it. I'm listening to the audio which is fantastic. I'm zipping through it pretty quickly! Can't believe I waited so long to read it. I wasn't sure what it would be like after all the hype but so far it's living up to it!
I had it on my bookshelf for ages before I finally read it. As soon as I finished it, I rented the movie!
Just finished The Help on audio which was amazing. 5 stars and it's made it on to my favourites list! So pleased I read it.
That's good to hear Janice! I wonder whether the author Kathryn Stockett is writing any other books! I think she is a talented writer.
Just finished another chunkster Allegiant which I have mixed feelings about. Good ending to the series I suppose, but I think the first book Divergent was my favourite. Wow - I finished two chunksters in the same day!
I saw the movie version of Divergent this afternoon. I read the book last year. I'm not sure I will continue the series right away. Too many other books on the go.
I liked the movie and the book for The Help too. I felt the same way about Divergent and Allegiant as you Sarah and I thought the movie for Divergent was well done. @Janice - if you do not get to the next books in the Divergent series any time soon, no worry. The first was the best, by far.
I would like to see the Divergent movie - I think I'll wait for the DVD though. I liked the first one as I really liked the Dauntless faction and their thrill seeking - it was an action packed book. But then it tailed off - I think they'd make interesting movies though perhaps. I thought Allegiant was a bit samey compared with Insurgent.
Finished my fourth book of Mickey's - Kinslayer on audio which is the second in the Lotus Wars series. I think I preferred the first book as I got a bit lost in this one but it may have been just because it was an audiobook. I did enjoy it though.
I've had a few days off from chunksters but now I'm starting The Angel's Game which is my penultimate Mickey's chunkster! I really liked the first book so I'm excited about reading this one.
I feel like I have Marched through Mickey's much quicker than I went through Slick's! Which is good! I'm going to read a couple short books now and then start my final Mickey's book.
Just starting The Desert Spear which is my last book in Mickey's section! I loved the first book in the series and a couple short stories based in the same world so I am really excited about this one.
Why oh why do I keep looking at other people's chunkster lists! Now I have yet another book on my TBR shelf (actually marked the first one in the series).
Yes it is a hazard indeed Camilla! The first one, The Warded Man (my version was called The Painted Man but same thing) I flew through and loved it so much. I love the magic system in the book and all the different types of demons.
Woohoo! Just finished Mickey's Marchers with my favourite book of the year - The Desert Spear! So good!
Definitely! I seemed to move through this section quicker too. I am really looking forward to my Roadrunner's reads!
Had to resort to using the fruit machine to pick which book I wanted to read out of my Roadrunner's list. They all look sooo good! And the winner is........Red Seas Under Red Skies which I only just slotted in to my list after picking it up in the charity shop on Thursday.

It's just like King where he hints at what's to come. The prologue is a precarious situation and I want to know if it's real or part of one of their cons.

I know....
Honestly, i believe i enjoyed this one more than the 1st one.
It's early days yet but the book has started much better than the first one. I vaguely remember thinking the first one was slow starting but maybe with this one I'm excited to be back in that world and reacquainting with the characters I know and love. I'm wondering whether I will have to wait until the end of the book for my question to be answered or whether it will come sooner.
One of the things I like about series is that I can relax and know my beloved character will survive because there's another book following. Locke might be in a precarious situation, but there's book 3. :) It's the last book in the series that's an unknown. LOL!
Just finished Red Seas Under Red Skies which was fantastic. A 5 star read for me and I liked it more than the first in the series.

Sarah wrote: "I thought the third book was already out. Off to check now."It is out. The paperback edition is coming out. Well, for me anyway,
I read The Republic of Thieves as soon as it was released. It was my least favorite. I hope you two find it more enjoyable than I did.
Ah I see. I'll probably get it on my kindle although it's still a little pricey at the moment so i'll wait a month or too.
Started another chunkster today - Age of Iron which I hadn't been planning on but as I received it through NetGalley for review and it's just over 500 pages, I thought I'd sneak it in. It does sound interesting!
Started Cloud Atlas so I have two chunksters on the go at the moment. So far I'm not liking Cloud Atlas so I may end up swapping it out and having to rejig my section. We shall see.
