Sheena Mccarthy | 2 comments its a duel pov book between a girl and a boy. girl wants to make more money to pay for online college courses that her father doesn't want her to take. So she decides to work for a competing construction company. however there has been a long lasting feud between her family and this other one. her brother was hoping to stop it when he befriended a young boy from the other family, however that didn't happen because the brother was accused of killing the other boys fiance. fast forward to the girl pretending to be a boy so that she can get a job at this construction company. he decides to hire her as payback to her brother. however he finds that she is actually a great worker and her coworkers love her they even nicknamed her monkey because she is able to climb just about anything. a lot of drama happens surrounding her and he begins to fall for her. it later comes out that she might have been the one to kill the fiance, so the boy stops talking to her. she has to save him from a construction accident and then the brother gets into a car accident so they make up. the brother later dies and the boy goes back to find the girl. at the end you find out that the fiance never really died, she was just crazy and faked her death.

Sheena, I've moved your thread down to Unsolved since you will get more people checking it out down there.

What kind of book is this? Suspense, horror, romantic-suspense? When did you read it? Was it old or new then? You said that she was disguised as a boy--how did the H know that she was a girl?

What kind of classes did she want to take on-line (ok, just me wondering about that.)

Where did you find the book--library, bookstore, thrift store, grocers? How did you find out about it--someone recommend it, the cover, the back blurb, you read a review?

Sheena Mccarthy | 2 comments romance suspense i guess. i got the e-book within the past year. I believe it was new then. and the opening scene the girl watching the two boys playing at the lake, while they talk about how they will be friends forever instead of following through with the family feud. Within the next chapter she explains that she is the youngest in the family and also the only girl. I want to say her name was danielle, so when she filled out the application for the job she just wrote dani (or it was some other non gender oriented name) thinking that she would have a better chance if they didn't know she was a girl before hand. She wanted to be apart of the actual construction of building not the demolition of them which is what her family was manly doing. so she was taking architecture-like classes.

And I don't remember exactly how I found the book I usually just go into amazons recommended for you section. I know i still have the book someone on the cloud but I literally have over a thousand books and I've tried skimming through them just to see if maybe the title would catch my eye but i can't find it.

Ok, I can sympathize with you about the size of your cloud. . . I actually own both a Nook AND a Kindle. And between the two of them, I figure I must have about 3k books. NOT easy to go through them and find one if you don't remember anything about the author or title.

I too go into that section and check out what they have there. But I also have people recommend books to me, plus I just page through the discount books. And I get emailed to me a couple of different lists of ebooks that have gone on sale on Amazon or B&N, so I can find them that way too.

I don't recognize your book, so I can't help you find it, but I can sure wish you luck.

Truth and Humility by J.A. Dennam seems to match your description (including her nickname Monkey).
