message 2: by Anne (new)

Anne "Consoling the Heart of Jesus" by Fr. Michael Gaitley. My parish is encouraging all parishioners to read it, offering reflections/questions in our weekly bulletin, throughout the month of December, in preparation for a retreat Fr. Gaitley will lead at our parish in January.

Donald J. Amodeo | 5 comments I'm reading Saint Teresa of Ávila, whose words never fail to remind me that my faith has a long, long way to go :)

Interior Castle by Teresa of Ávila

message 4: by Debi (new)

Debi | 4 comments I have been reading "Advent and Christmas: Wisdom from St. Benedict". I've been reading some from Bossuet's book "Meditations for Advent".

message 5: by Marianne (new)

Marianne Gray (marianneburrowgray) | 5 comments Every year our Parish puts out an advent book of it's own. Besides lives of the Saints and the Magnificat (a subscription) I am ready our Parish Advent book along with the other daily readings. I'm new to the group and was happy to see it here. I write poetry and short stories, and just lots of stuff. I do write many things about our Faith as well. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will be blessed this New Year to come. Marianne :)

Ditto that Donald :) St. Teresa of Avila is one of my "Super Hero's" among many others, too many to list here. And to think, these great Saints are our brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus and they pray for us!!! Boggles the mind, The Lord is so good to us. :)
