According to IMDb, the movie is slated to open September 19, 2014 in the US. Thoughts?

I can't wait to see the maze and the grievers come to life.. The cast looks good especially Minho.. I'm glad they pushed the movie date back from Valentines day.. For 1) Definitely NOT a Valentines day movie and 2) Hopefully the extra time will make it extra good!!
Super excited for the movie to come out. The cast looks great, and their Facebook page has lots of details too!
The cast looks older than I had imaged, and Chuck isn't how I imagined either. But, I would MUCH rather them cast an older cast than a younger cast. I'm wicked excited for the movie and to see the grievers.

Though I bet the maze will be really cool.
I have a feeling that the movie will be bad, just like every other YA book to movie (with the exception of some of the Harry Potters and The Hunger Games). But I am interested to see the trailer. I find it strange that there is no official trailer yet.

Here are some interesting promo pics for the movie.
Moving the release date from February to September is a lot of time in between. That scares me. Usually when a film gets pushed back like that it's bad news. Though... World War Z was pushed back for years and that turned out pretty good. I think with it's original release date in February there should've been a trailer too.

I am so happy that there making this a movie .I am very curious as to how the Grievers are going to look . I love Dylan and was super for his casting as Thomas :) Thoroughly excited to see it!

On the other hand, I'm not sure what I would nominate in its place. I just know that there are many other books that are just as appealing and better written.

Agreed... I wouldn't call it the greatest YA novel! Although I loved it. That might be a different discussion!
Super excited for the movie, esp the maze. Ok, and Minho too. I totally have a crush on Minho--but have only read the 1st book so far, don't TELL me anything!(The Scorch Trials is sitting here waiting for me to finish two other books! Aack)
I think the Grievers are going to be tough, because even though there's a description of them, they're vague enough that every person's interpretation is going to be different. Like, for example, the Whomping Willow and the Forbidden Forest in the HP movies were NOTHING like I'd pictured.
Still, I felt while I was reading it that I wanted to see the movie, and it rarely happens that I have that feeling AND it actually happens, so it'll be a nice September birthday present :)
I want to see the movie so bad! I can't wait! I think the cast looks okay, but I thought Newt, Alby and Teresa would look different. I think Minho's character turned out to be the best! He looks exactly like I imagined him to look like.
