Kim (kadykayf) Post your initial thoughts here.

Please remember to mark all spoilers!

Jessica | 10 comments This was a page turner book from the beginning. Every time we answered a question, 3 more questions would pop up. I loved the mystery of this book that had me begging to find out what happened next. The Maze Runner was my favorite book in the trilogy, but I never got around to read The Kill Order.

Finishing up the book I am reading and then will pick this up from the library tomorrow!

Doug Solter (dougsolter) Jessica - I couldn't agree more. The first Maze Runner is still my fav too.

Jessica | 10 comments Oops I just realized this was the initial thoughts place.. My bad.. But I guess my 1st thoughts was what possible reason could there be to place these kids in this maze.. I was consumed with desire to figure out what purpose this cause was for.. & what was the significant of the girl & how could they select which memories the boys lost.. This book plagued me with question after question..

Kaleigh | 17 comments I never got around to reading the Kill Order either, I think it's one of those prequels you should read AFTER you finish the trilogy becuase I think it would spoil some things. Has anyone read the Kill Order, and if so, what did you think?

Betsy (betsyhalvorsen) I read the Kill Order but didn't particularly care for it. I did read it after I finished the trilogy. Some parts of it were interesting, but I once the series was over, I felt pretty done with it and I guess I didn't care too much about what happened before.

Vandita (vandita_booknerd) So much suspense with an interesting storyline kept me hooked up until i finished the whole trilogy...
Wonderful book....

Right now I am about 100 pages in.... I find it slow to start. I mean sooo many questions about everything and now one will answer them. It's driving me a little nuts.

I agree! A little something would be nice.

Kaleigh | 17 comments I agree, I was frustrated when Thomas was first introduced to the Glade and no one would answer any questions

Jane Warren | 9 comments It was 'just okay'. A very slow start while at homes was learning about the Glade. Things began to move once the girl arrived.

Grace (gdaminato) | 520 comments I started the book about 2 weeks ago and I'm currently half way through. I just can't get into it. I find it frustrating that everyone Thomas meets in the Glade is so determined to be unhelpful. I assume the author wrot the book this way to build suspense and mystery. So far, it has just put me off. I guess I need something to help me believe that Thomas (and I, the reader) will eventually find the answers to all the questions.

Fangirlinfinity21 (Sarah) (alwaysforeverfangirling) | 6 comments I liked the book,I agree The Maze Runner was my favorite because we get introduced to this concept of Thomas getting entered into this maze. We have no clue how he got there or why, but throughout the start getting little answers .Only at the end we see a little bit about what put the boys and Teresa there.Very intriguing from start to finish.

I have to agree... the whole no one will help him drove me nuts at the beginning. The author put it in too much... I think maybe the 20 times Thomas asked questions was way too many.

Britt | 2 comments I only read The Maze Runner, though I may eventually read the other books in the series, and it wasn't something I loved. It kind of annoyed me, actually. I too felt that Thomas' constant desire for answers and not getting any was just over the top. I was thinking, "Okay! Just tell the kid already!"
I also found the lingo in the Glad to be really annoying. I'm pretty adamant about grammar and speaking intelligibly, so the Glade lingo didn't sit well with me.
I probably will go see the movie; hopefully I'll like it better than the book.

This is bad for me... I didn't know if I should continue on with the series and I don't think I will.

Madeline Reynolds | 22 comments I was really hooked by the first few chapters of book #1. However, the rest of the series was a bit confusing towards me.

Isabella This was one of my favorite books ever! I really liked every thing about it. I also read the other series that he wrote The Mortality Doctrine. Has anyone read it?
