At first it was a bit confusing and just a tad slow but it quickly picks up. The action scenes are incredibly detailed and I just loved the characters, especially Cassie and Evan :P
It reminded me a bit of The Host but the story definitely had its own legs :)
I'll be eagerly waiting for the sequel!!

I wanted the main characters to die (I even chanted die, die, die, die while reading it). I wanted the girl to kill the boy a lot. (view spoiler) . It was so predictable!
I wanted to throw it out of the window, put it on fire, rub it with meat and watch my dog tear it apart, anything! Such a pity I borrowed it... But thank the Angel I didn't buy it.

And yes I do want to throw it away or burn it too (Hi-5 guys!). really don't understand what's so good about this book which makes most people rave about it.
On a side note the cover is pretty awesome
The Passage meets Ender’s Game in an epic new series from award-winning author Rick Yancey.
After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.
Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother—or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.
