Concerning the main character, Peter Vernon. Did you use Peter in reference to Peter Pan? Peter Vernon IS forever a youthful character who never grows up.

Yes, I named Peter Vernon with Peter Pan in mind, and Vernon also means youthful. I like to think there is a forever-young Peter Vernon in the back of everyone's mind. Maybe that's the big secret of aging - that we all still imagine ourselves young even when the mirror shows us how old we really are.
