((Nooo! I'll miss you!))

I came to the conclusion last night that I know more about faceless people on this overly sweet site then those I actually see every day.
Not to mention, I'm a zombie at school, toujours dans la lune, thinking up stories from the fates of people who's lives have already been intricately weaved by their real author. If I don't give up Goodreads, my greatest trip to Eastern Europe will be smothered by the internal voices of chattering fictional characters--not to mention I'd never learn Russian in time.
Unfortunately, this giving up. This purging at the tender age of sixteen is all or nothing.))

"Crossfire? Could that be and Elizabeth Joanne Crossfire?" Hallie asked, almost choking on the bite of her croissant.
Jaze frowned slightly, since she hadn't know that Elizabeth had a middle name. "Yes," she said slowly, watching the warlock carefully. "And my guess is that you know her."

((Whoo hoo! Percy Jacksooooon!))
"Finland?" Jaze's tone was surprised, and her expression said she was too. Ms. Crossfire had come a long way. But why would she travel all that distance? Not my business, the Shadowhunter silently reminded herself.

Jaze frowned, curious, but not wanting to intrude. She nodded slightly and took a bite of her food, trying to think of a way to change the subject away from the head of the institute, but she couldn't think of a subject they hadn't discussed yet.

Hallie hung up and turned back to Jaze. "Sorry, gotta go. Somebody turned themselves into a penguin again." Hallie rolled her eyes, and started gathering her items.
If Jaze had been drinking anything, she would have either spewed or choked. "Penguin? How can someone-" She cut herself up and shook her head, holding up her hands. "You know what, don't want to know. I'll figure it out if I myself ever become a flightless bird."

Taking the swan, Jaze gave a short nod. "I'll be sure to tell her," she promised, not bothering to point out that the object wasn't exactly, well, a card.

((Nice card. You made it, I assume? Amazing. :) ))
Jaze waved slightly as the warlock left, "Bye." She put the card in one of the pockets in her messenger bag, her hand brushing against the file she'd found. Maybe the Head will know more, she thought, considering asking Elizabeth about her mother. But that would mean admitting that her mom was exiled from Idris. Sighing, the Shadowhunter stood after a few more minutes and exited the restaurant.
