The visual always helps Larry.

1. Fight Inside by Red
2. Diary of Jane by Breaking Benjamin
3. Come on Closer by Jem
4. Pretty Girl by SugarCult
5. You Belong to Me by Taylor Swift (random I know)
I'm listening to the sound of my hard drive whirr, as I begin yet another major revision/rewrite of my thesis.
I'm beginning to understand the frustration my students have with academic writing.

I'm listening to the best thing to come out of Mississippi ever (well, after the blues and me, that is), MS Public Broadcasting, online.
Mindy, I'm glad you're out there.
After a morning of revising and trashing what I'd spent a month composing, now I'm studying for the Praxis: Language and Literature Content Examinations, and seriously freaking out.
Perhaps I should have stayed with being a waitress or hairdresser forever? What am I doing in grad school?

Um, I don't know where I was going with that. I am glad I got (and am getting) all the education now, but there is lots not to like about academia, and it was definitely a struggle... I still have days when I miss being a bartender.

I listened to Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here all weeekend. How's that?
Oh, man. You don't know how much I needed to hear that. I'm sitting here full of guilt for the previous six weeks of summer in which I didn't study for this exam, thinking I know it all already. What if I blow and fail and am laughed out of school?
My self-perception is much like yours was, I'd like to imagine, warped. Unless I'm spot on and I am a total idiot.
And to validate my post as music-related:I've been listening to Paul Oakenfold's Creamfields Disc 1 all afternoon. I like techo when I write/study.

And your perception is totally warped. You will ROCK that exam!
I was once into clubbing and dancing all night at e-fueled raves, thus I still groove on techno when I need to shut my mind up.

Sally, our students DREAD the Praxis. Everyone passes sooner or later, though. I hate the fact the tests cost so much. Plus...it's not an exam for which you can easily study.

And yet here you both are and we all get to benefit.

Spin Doctors AND Coldplay?
Are you the devil, Tanja?

2. It's Getting OK Now by 311
3. Engineering by Orbital & Michael Kamen from the Event Horizon soundtrack
4. Rest of my Life by Rilo Kiley
5. Specialist by Sage Francis

I adore music of all varities. And some bring back fond memories so I'll listen to the song over and over again. Spin Doctors reminds me of Europe, Snow's Informer, TMNT, and Starter Jackets (those were trends back there).
And what is wrong with Coldplay?! Nice rythmn.
Now I must Turn to Real Life by Shiny Toy Guns!

Bad Blood - Neil Sedaka
The Bitch Is Back - Elton John
Brandy, You're a Fine Girl - Looking Glass
Cherry, Cherry - Neil Diamond
Low Rider - War
Lowdown - Boz Scaggs

Oh what nostalgia you are bringing back.

Someone mentioned 311, I love them!

The bunny...the bunny...whoa i ate the bunny...i didn't eat my soup or the bread, just the bunny. the bunny, the bunny, now I feel sick from the bunny.

That's right! Better not mess with me, or you won't get any of the chocolate-covered macadamia nuts I brought back for the office.
I am completely capable of eating them all myself, if I have to!

1. She Blinded Me with Science - Thomas Dolby
2. The Fall - Electric Light Orchestra (Xanadu!!!)
3. Tiny Little Fractures - Snow Patrol
4. I'll Try (Reprise) - Jonatha Brooke (Return to Neverland)
I adore this song, most probably because I was the one clapping for Tinkerbell. "All the world is made of faith and trust and pixie dust. So I'll try cause I finally believe. I'll try cause I can see what you see. I'll try. I'll try...to fly."
5. Where Does the Good Go - Tegan & Sara (Grey's Anatomy)
RA - is that devilish enough for ya?

Michelle - SURE THING!! It gets weird when my anime pops up. My coworkers look at my strangely :P
Jim - Found a google video. Interesting!

2. Geeki-Ganger 3 - Martian Successor Nadesico (anime)
3. Jack's Lament - from Nightmare Before Christmas
4. Feeling Fine - L'Arc-en-Ciel
5. Song of Rice-Husking - Sakura
And to show how wild that list leaped the next one was I'm A Bomb - Natasha Bedingfield.

That's an old song. I'm surprised you don't like more Elvis Costello. Hm. Now I'm in the mood for him.

And, can you make her go away? Please?

There are times such as this/she would be tempted to spit/if she wasn't so lady-like...
