This worked really well today. I'm adopting Out Of Bed as my anthem.

I just can't get out
can't get out
can't get out of bed
if I could
I surely would
do everything that I said
I, I can't get out of bed

Because that's how I feel a lot of the time.

Barb, have you listened to this?

Heh....worth-weil....

I like Loretta Lynn's outfit. I would like to be buried in that.

message 2182: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments It's a nice outfit--1970s double-knit?--but it seems odd that TCers see Country & Western musicians and start thinking of funerals. KD wants to be buried in Lefty Frizzell's fringed jacket, and you want to be buried in what Loretta Lynn's wearing.

Outfits like that remind me of my grandmother and a few elderly aunts, and then for some reason my thoughts immediately travel to what they were buried in, or wanted to be buried in. (Often polyester dresses they had sewn themselves.)

I suppose I was just thinking about continuing the family tradition.

message 2184: by Jonathan (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments Fair enough. Loretta Lynn's is a sensible, presentable outfit to be buried in anyway. Debbie Harry's black t-shirt would be too edgy and Sophie Tucker's fur stole a bit too eccentric.

Loretta Lynn actually reminds me of Michelle Bachmann in that photo.

message 2186: by Jonathan (last edited Dec 16, 2011 07:14PM) (new)

Jonathan Lopez | 4726 comments I don't really see the resemblance. Their eyes are quite different. Loretta Lynn has very gentle, sensitive eyes.

I bet if you removed all of Michelle Bachmann's eye makeup her eyes wouldn't look that different from Loretta's.

Perhaps Mitt Romney will take you up on that wager. I hear he has a weakness for gambling...
