I did get a comment from one member who says she still gets them, so guess I'll take a block of time and see if I can figure out how to get it back.
Alice,
The month isn’t over yet! I’m still playing catch-up from last week. I was without internet a few days following severe storms and tornadoes that swept through my area last Tuesday night. Thankfully, I did not lose power as many others did, but it meant not posting the challenges I meant to post last week until last night, and I’m hoping to get the June author posted by Thursday.

After getting word from a Good Reads member that she was still getting e-mail notifications of what her friends were reading, I pursued it further. What I got was that was 'temporarily' discontinued due to a security concern.
That 'temporary' has gotten mighty long.
This was a feature I found especially helpful, so my days here at Good Reads may now be numbered.
It is also a puzzle why I'm still getting notifications for group posts if the others were concerning.
A security concern??? How is it a security concern to send out an email people have signed up for? It only concerns you and GR friends, anyone who doesn’t want to receive it has the option to opt out. Sounds like a flimsy excuse to me, especially as Amazon itself sends out daily emails with book recommendations. This was essentially the same thing, except recs from friends. 🙄
Good afternoon, I'm a fairly newcomer to goodreads and have been trying to join in some of the fun and games, unfortunately, I cannot seem to find the add book/author button to add a cover and partake in the scavenger hunt. I wondered if you could help me to locate it please.Thank you in advance 😁
Hi Meg — Sorry, it’s not set up yet. I’ve been sick a good portion of this month, so am a bit behind. It should be up by Saturday, Feb 1.
Heather, see the following posts, all nearly identical, all promoting an author's new book/s. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Hi, I was wondering if we could add a new fun and games called free association. You essentially say a word and then the next person posts a word that comes to mind when they hear that word. Example:
I say Birthday the next person might say cake then the next person might say chocolate.

Hi Alice,
There is no featured author this month. Instead, we invite readers to choose any one of our previously featured authors to catch up on. The master list can be found here:

I play this in a couple of other groups if you don’t mind.. I can link you. Not in same genre groups so no competition.🌷
Not sure where to ask this but is there a place where groups read the same books and then discuss it?
We do not do a group read, we do a Featured Author and there is a clearly marked section for those discussions.

Am I missing something here?"
GR notifications have been wonky for years, and I stopped relying on them ages ago. Apparently GR doesn't think it's a vital service.
