It seems a lot like spam to me, I've seen the same type of post from the same person multiple times over the past couple of weeks and it's getting really annoying.

Grrr! This guy is really ticking me off. I keep deleting his posts and have ejected him from the group three times already but he keeps slightly changing his name and rejoining. 😈

Okay, I deleted the post Marisa linked to and flagged another to report him to GR. If he's doing it to our group, he is likely doing it to others as well. Time to be quit of him once and for all!

Quick update. I see that our Unwanted Pest returned over the weekend. Just wanted to let you know that I have not removed his posts as I flagged both. I am hoping that the more we flag him, the sooner GR bans him permanently. *Fingers crossed*

Yes, if we remove the flagged posts, GRs can't find the posts. However, I'm flagging them too, so the more of us that report him, the better.

I read in another group that you can make a screenshot before deleting file and send that to GR's, so they can investigate. This is happening in a lot of groups, but I am not sure it is the same person since we aren't allow to publicly post information.

The person who posted here also posted in the Cozy Mystery Corner group that I moderate multiple times. I clicked on his profile and saw that he post the same two threads in every group he joined. I have deleted him and his comments before. I reported him to GR Admin yesterday and the comment is gone today.

Yesterday this jerk spam-bombed another mystery group with 18 posts of the same message in almost every folder. GR needs better controls. Multiple posts across the site should raise a flag and be investigated.

As I said in the last newsletter I sent out in Dec, I no longer have regular internet/computer access. What access I do have is sporadic and only through my tablet. I don't have the ability to copy and paste, and it's too difficult trying to type in long links or write long messages or newsletters manually on this thing.

The list for new books usually gets published at this folder, normally before the beginning of the related month, but sometimes real life gets in the middle.

Hi, I posted a link to a site for free e-books and see that it has been removed. I'm sorry if that post was breaking any rules, was just trying to notify of free e-books. Obviously I can't review all the cozies they offer but if not appropriate for the group, I apologize.
When a post is removed do you let the person know so the error is not repeated?

If you do not post in the appropriate place for a particular type of post, it may be removed. If you look down near the bottom of the group home page, there is a section for posting links for ebooks.

Only one person made unkind remarks - a very rude and stereotyped remark about home schooling at msg 4105. When another member called her on it and asked her not to make nasty political remarks, her second comment was worse than the first one - msg 4108. She says that she is quitting the group. Her comments certainly violate group rules.

she doesn't need to come back.
A private discussion group somewhere is the place for this type of strong opinion. I agreed with Nell also.

Any political posts, once brought to our attention, will be removed. As for the question about free ebook posts, it was probably due to where it was posted. I used to move the posts to the correct folder, but that got tedious after awhile, so it's easier to just remove it. If a particular person does this often, they will get notified, but enough people used to do it that notifying them all was time consuming.

Once upon a time there was a 'send message' option on our profiles, but no more.
