I was told I could edit my profile and I have tried that with first name Robin last name Hillard Display name Robin Hillard and user name RobinHillard
We have another author spamming random boards across the group -- everywhere except the self-promotion section -- including here, here, here, and here. And not short posts, either, but the huge billboard type that smack a reader over the head. :-(

Heather beat me to it! I just lambasted the poster on one of the threads and then decided I should report him here, too!
Thank you. Several links are no longer valid so many he removed them. I moved one and deleted one and will contact the author. Thanks for letting me know.

I reported his spamming to GR and they removed several. That is one way to handle the spamming.

Sherri, I think you could start that under Books and Series discussions. It doesn't look like anything has been posted previously on books with a southern setting.

Thank you Heather! I have gone ahead and opened this discussion topic.

I'd suggest "Hurricane Season" by Mickey Friedman, and all of the "Mississippi Delta" Mysteries by Carolyn Haines.

Sadly, no - no way around it. I wish there was.
Sorry Melodie, no way around it I'm afraid. Not unless at some point Goodreads changes something.

Sorry Jennifer. I guess that was me. Didn't know it was a no-no. I'm new to this.

No worries, welcome to GR. But there is a thread in our group you should read as you become more involved in our group: Self-Promotions Rules! Please read before posting!
It outlines what's ok and what is not ok in terms of self-promotion.
ETC typos

Hi Sinthu, you might want to try the group What's the name of that book? for book searches.

I'm admittedly hyper-sensitive to it. I want a place to come and talk about the books other people are reading and enjoying - I do NOT want to be marketed to, and it instantly gets my back up.

Message #1214 and 1215.

Oh, you know me - I'm always one of the first to screech at the slightest hint of spam or misplaced self-promotion! ;)
Helps because our group is so big and I can't be current on all the threads all the time to catch them all myself.

Got it, thanks Melodie!

Yep, that one needs to go! She/he's posted the same thing all over the place.

All challenges are posted in the Reading Challenges folder, and yes -- there is a "Read the Season -- Winter" challenge.

I have some health issues and just can't be here more. But I love this group for the great books it has exposed me to
Thank you again

Which invitations? I get no invitation to any event.
