Christine Malinowski | 1 comments Hi everyone. I'm looking for a few beta readers for my polished novel, Destined Hearts of 114,000 words. It's a romantic suspense but it is not a cop/detective book. It does have some erotic love scenes, but they are tasteful and enhance the storyline. Here is the blurb.

Just hours after escaping from her kidnappers, American high school senior Lindsey Whitman finds herself married at gunpoint to the most wanted man in Europe.

Undeterred from her goals, Lindsey is determined to fly back home to finish her schooling, but a phone call home uncovers the bad news that she is wanted by the police for a crime she didn’t commit. Unable to return to her old life because of those charges, she is forced to stay with Modov Saborski, her new husband. As she bides her time waiting for the charges back home to be dropped, she enters into a lifestyle she never dreamed existed, living off the grid on a self- sustaining dairy farm in Croatia.

Challenges abound as she takes on the role of wife and mother to Modov’s infant son. Modov’s deceased wife, a powerful gypsy, was the force who brought the two together from beyond the grave. She has been the source of Lindsey’s erotic dreams for the past year as she primed Lindsey on how to deal with all aspects of Modov’s forceful personality. And as Lindsey soon discovers, the sexual chemistry between her and Modov is much more electrifying in real life than it ever was in her dreams.

Just as Lindsey begins to adjust to her new life, she finds herself the recipient of anonymous cruel pranks that take on a dark twist. As each prank becomes more and more sinister, as the only common thread to these is Lindsey herself, everyone including Lindsey begins to doubt her mental competence. Just as troubling is the fact that the gypsy sexpot from across the street makes a move on her husband and threatens to have her killed if she doesn’t leave the farm permanently. Caught in a continuing nightmare, afraid that she will be disbelieved in light of everything that has gone on, she is at a crossroads. Her decision may cost her not only the man she has grown to love but also her life.

I'm looking for mostly your honest opinion on the storyline, what you feel doesn't work, loose ends, slow spots within the story. Is it something you would recommend to your friends?

If you are interested, please email me at mc_malinowski@yahoo.com. I look forward to hearing from you.
