"So if you are following me to my humble abode please don't be shocked at its lack of cleanliness" Jesse said smiling slightly as he walked out of the building and down a road

"Don't worry I won't judge you" she replied trying to reassure him. "Yet" she added under her breath and followed him to wherever he would lead her at this point she wasn't even looking to live anymore as long as she was with somebody who could actually speak to her and wouldn't try to eat her.
Jesse opened a door and walked through holding it open for her once they were inside he locked the door and walked up the stairs with her leading to a rather large bedroom area
Lily's eyes skimmed the room quickly and she ignored the mess jumping on the bed and sitting cross legged. "So this is your secret hiding room thing?" she asks him smirking.
"Not really" He said pulling a bookshelf away from the wall revealing a semi large hole in the wall that led to another bedroom slightly larger and equally messy "I blocked off the hallway so this room is hidden"
"Oh" Lily jumped off that bed and peered into the next bedroom she walked in looking around and noticed that this one looked naturally lived in whereas the other one looked artificial. She lay back on his bed staring up at the ceiling, her t shirt riding up. "So this is the secret hiding layer?" she asked laughing, honestly it felt so good to talk to someone who would be able to reply.
"Yeah I've been staying in this room since I lost my parents and sister" He answered sitting on the bed going through his bag
"I'm sorry" she replied automatically then softened her voice. "I'm sorry" she repeated staring up at the white ceiling. "How-" she began but stopped herself. How else? She scolded herself mentally for asking stupid questions.
"Like any normal thing, We were trying to leave the country and were at the airport. Everyone was there all lined up basically squashed like they were in a can" he said telling the story completely emotionless "then we heard the first scream and the sound of the zombies. Everyone started shoving and pushing, I carried my sister and tried to get out of there but was knocked to the ground by a horde of people and when i tried to find her she was being torn apart by a zombie while people ran over her" He said stopping before looking away "My parents were both trampled to death" he finished with a crack in his voice from sadness
Lily got up and hugged him without thinking about it, something so sad shouldn't' have to be handled alone though she'd never tell anybody her own story. "I'm so sorry..." she searched her mind for his name and finally found it. "Jesse" she added trying not to sound too much like a bitch. "That must have so hard" so murmured trying to remember how somebody's voice changed tone when they were sympathizing with somebody.
"thanks" he said moving away from her and standing up moving the cans of food and medicine from the floor to the closet where he kept his supplies "This was her room" he said finishing as he stacked the cans
She wasn't exactly sure what to say so she changed the subject, "Want any help?" she asked. "I could clean up this room" she suggested at least they'd be something to do.
"Yeah if you want to, just don't throw anything out that is still useful" He said
"Kai" she tells him and starts cleaning, putting all the trash into one big bag and re arranging the entire room to make it look more organized and neat. "Dirty clothes?' she mutters under her breath throwing the eighth bloody t shirt into the bag.
"Yeah sorry I tend to fight them close quarters quite a bit" he said pulling a small radio out of the closet and turning it on "maybe someone is broadcasting today" he said softly and set it down on the floor
"Getting close and bloody" she says finally finishing with the clothes and junk and now moving onto the re arranging. "They're not gonna" she muttered under her breath not having the heart to say it loudly.
"I know what you are probably thinking, about how they won't be on the radio since no one is probably left but i've gotta hope" He said as he swapped between the stations the sound of static filling the air
"We've all got our hobbies" she says quietly finally finishing up cleaning. "Done" she says looking around her at the clean, tidy, room. "I'm gonna go burn this stuff and then head to my place for a bit, wanna come?" she asks heading to the secret door.
"yeah sure but just leave those bags i'll take care of it later" He said standing up and putting the radio back into the closet
"Oh ok, I'll be back I gotta go take a shower" she says heading out she peers back in to make sure he was ok. "Don't-" she shakes her head sighing.
"pardon?" He asked turning around and glancing at her confused as to what she meant
"Do you have a shower here?" she asks finally changing her mind, she didn't want to leave him alone just yet she still thought he'd leave her. Everybody always left her.
"Not a working one I'm afraid but there are tubs of water in the bathroom filled with rainwater I collect" he answered
"Could I use one? I'll be really quick" she asks hopefully slowly inching back in and closing the door softly.
"yeah sure" he said sighing softly as she closed the door. Once she had closed the door Jesse began packing his small rucksack with a few bandages and a can of food for emergencies, he picked his bat up and took a small survival knife putting it in a small sheath attached to his belt he waited
"Thanks" she called from inside one of the washrooms. She quickly stripped and used some of the water from one of the bathtubs to wash off quickly cursing herself when she realised she'd have to borrow some of his clothes.
Jesse waited on the bed sitting on it waiting for her to finish the shower "I'm going to need to hope it rains soon now" he muttered to himself
Lily quickly finishes, trying to use as little water as possible. "Could I-uh borrow one of your LONGEST t shirts?" she calls through the door trying not to sound desperate or stupid.
"Huh why would you need one of my shirts?" he called out before turning red realizing what she meant "oh okay then give me a second" he called again slightly nervous now he grabbed a shirt that was two sizes to big for him and opened the door slightly holding it out through the door not daring to peek
"Thanks" she says grabbing the shirt and pulling it from him. She quickly put it on and it came to her mid thigh. She came out of the room and tried to pull it down lower, "I forgot about clothes" she muttered.
Jesse took one look and turned even redder than before "Yeah i can tell" he said averting his gaze looking at everything but her
"Sorry she muttered sitting on the bed putting her legs under her so they were covered. "You can stop being awkward now" she says blushing scarlet.
"You realize how hard that is, Right?" he said before looking through some drawers and throwing a pair of pants towards her "what do you expect if a half naked girl is in my room"
Lily quickly puts them and rolls them up until they become shorts. "These are way to big for me" she mutters under breath then laughs. "A lot of guys would do the opposite of awkward if a half naked girl was in the room" she says teasing.
"Well guess where a lot of those guys are right now" He responded looking out the window smiling "So are we heading out now?"
"Yes, and we're going to my place so I can get an actual pair of clothes" she tells him getting up pulling at his sleeve.
"Yeah okay, lets head out" he said moving through the hole and waiting for her so he could block it up again
She jumps out trying to hold her jeans up. "Oh my god these jeans" she complains exiting the building then shrieking. She gets grabbed by one of the undead and punches it in the gut next thing she knows she pinned do the floor by another.
Jesse shoved the bookcase in front of the hole and tackled the zombie off of her stabbing it through the temple and into the brain "You okay?" he asked as he pulled his knife free and held the other zombie down
She quickly jumped up not responding and shot the other zombie through the brain. "Let's keep going" she tells him blankly and starts walking taking the blood stained and brain splattered t shirt off and walking in her tank. "Fucking zombies" she mutters under her breath starting into a slow jog only glancing behind her to make sure hee was following.
((sorry for my late reply also I thought you had gone to do something))Jesse followed her picking up the shirt after she dropped it and carried it with him as they ran
(( Haha I had but I'm back now =D )))Lily finally stopped at the foot of a tower and started climbing up the metal rungs. "Come on, it's so hot" she says into the air and finally hoists herself up. She'd made her home in the glass walled circular room which was fully furnished and clean. It had another wooden room that was the washroom. This place was originally owned by some rich family that liked to live high up but the elevator had broken years ago.
Jesse followed her up making sure his bat and bag were secured first and continue climbing up watching her
Lily quickly stripped her tank, and jeans putting on her own tighter jeans and a shirt buttoning it up when Jesse came up. "Hey, this is my crib" she said laughing buttoning her last button leaving the top open for air. She jumped back on her bed. "Where do you want to go today?"
"Nowhere really I spent all of last night scavenging and I'm actually pretty tired" he said before yawning
"Come sleep" she sat patting and the bed and getting off it. "I don't feel like sleeping" she told him pushing him towards the bed.
"jeez a girl trying to force a guy into a bed, that's a bit weird isn't it" he joked as he lay down on the bed and closed his eyes((sorry for late post this time I had to do something))
