Rose Color Meaning-

Red- courage and respect
White- innocence
Red and White- unity
Pink- grace and sophistication; gratefulness(deep pink), admiration(light pink)

Coral or Orange- desire
Pale Colors- warmth and friendship
A Dozen Roses- dozens of ways I care for you

Two Dozen- 24 hours in a day, Every hour I think about you

Three Dozen- romantic attachment

Four Dozen- unchanging and unconditional love

That is very true brigid, it could be used for symbolism. Hey, I just got an idea for a story. A girl keeps getting roses. There is a different one with a note every week, and she has no clue where they are coming from.

Yeah... It sounds like it could be a short story collection or something. Like, a couple of different people could write their own short stories with that basic plot: this girl gets roses, and doesn't know where they come from... that would be interesting.

yeah maybe. you could really take it in any direction. it could be a mystery, a romance, a horror, a fantasy... it depends on where you decide to take it.

Yeah. It would be a good horror...Like, every rose has a scary note or something.

I actually started writing my idea and I called it Roses for June. Usually I can't think of a title until I'm done, but this one seemed perfect. I posted it. It isn't a horror or mystery or romance or fantasy. I think it is more of a realistic fiction. Here is the link if you want to see what I am talking about:

veronica, i just read roses for june and it was really good... maybe we should all try to write one of these stories... that is, if you don't mind veronica since it was kind of your idea. it could be like a collection though. we could all try to write in in a different genre.

Yeah, everybody tried to write a story with roses, but I think mine was the only one that succeeded.
