Gianna's blonde head whipped up when her phone buzzed, but after checking the number, she slipped it back into her pocket. It was only Finn, though she didn't have to read it to know he'd be here soon. Finn wasn't one to turn down food, ever. She offered a smile as he slipped into the chair in front of her, waving her pancake laden fork in the air as she answered his question. "Hey," she stated through a mouthful of food. "Girl's gotta eat, too, stupid." A smile brightened her blue eyes, before fading only slightly at his mentioning of a hunt. It always went back to the hunts. "Most definitely," she agreed, setting her fork down and leaning back in her chair. She ran her fingers through her hair, swallowing the last of her delicious chocolate chip pancakes and resting her hands in her lap. "All the evidence points in said direction, and it makes sense. Looks like we're getting good at this guessing game."

Gianna couldn't help but smirk as the waitress called her cousin 'Mr. Reporter.' Finn was about as far from both a Mister and Reporter as someone could be. "That's a shame," Gianna laughed after the yellow clad girl vanished around a corner. "There are no more pancakes for you to spit in, are there?" She knew better than to play with her cousin's nerves, yet here she was, doing just that. Gianna couldn't quite help it, honestly. He set himself up too easily. "Though if you must know, personal assistant. You've got that 'kick me around' aura, if you will." A teasing grin played on her lips, promising that she was only joking. "Does it really matter, Finn? She didn't give you a second glance."

Dex was awfully tired of fetching coffee for lazy employees. Who the hell needed coffee in the middle of the day? Honestly, he thought it rather awful, how he'd never be allowed to stick up to his superiors for pushing him around like a useless toy. Of course, cursing at his boss would hardly earn him a job in the future, he could be assured of that. So, as always, Dex sucked it up and simply retrieved the damn coffee. He'd been complaining--mentally, of course--about his superiors and their laziness, and a lot of other very rude things, and as always, not paying attention. Classic Dex behavior.

Though he could hardly keep himself up on his own two feet--he was that much of a klutz--Dex continued on his path through the cafeteria, cringing every time he saw one of the brightly colored tables. All they did was make him want to vomit. The cafeteria was not a bright place, and any attempts to make it seem so were failures, quite honestly. With his headphones in, Dex made his way between tables, paying little enough attention that he actually found himself tripping over a bench, coffee in hand, and spilling it all over the singular girl in the vicinity.

"Getting better." Gianna amended, knowing better than to argue with her cousin. He was always under the impression that they had to live up to their parents, and their parents before them, and so on. Gianna wanted to live up to those expectations, too, but she didn't feel the need to try so hard. They were young, and they had time. They had a while to gain that experience, unlike her father had. Her father hadn't had the years to accumulate experience that they would before their parents died. Gianna wasn't worried about having to be everything her father and uncle were, not this young. Maybe in the future, but she was only a kid, it wasn't that big a deal. Maybe Finn felt that he had to live up to them, though. Uncle Dean wasn't exactly the easiest person to live up to, so maybe Finn just felt he needed a jump start on that... Gianna didn't really know, nor did she aspire to ask. As said before, Finn wasn't the easiest person to figure out, by any means.

"Of course, your aura just oozes the kicked puppy sort of thing, don't you think?" A grin played on her lips, her foot bouncing anxiously as she waited for the waitress to come by again; the blonde was still hungry, despite the rather high amounts of food she'd eaten. "Who ever said I'd be kicking your stomach?" Gianna inquired sweetly, a glint of most evil proportions in her stunning blue eyes. "And I didn't mean it in the literal sense, Flounder," Gianna reminded him, using her mocking nickname--which came from the fact that 'Finn' reminded her of 'Fish' of which a variety was 'Flounder'--"we all know I'm not stupid enough to kick you."

Dex had grown tired of always running into people. He had far too many bruises--new, old, fading, and all different colors--from running into people or furniture. He even had a few scars, from particularly violent encounters involving his clumsiness and sharp corners of furniture. As a child, Dex had been rather reckless, and had thought nothing of pain. Those years he spent running around, running into things without a care, still showed on his skin more than fifteen years later. He had mark upon mark on his skin, forever to remain there as a sign of his clumsiness. Unfortunately, with coming years, neither the scars nor the traits faded, Dex decided as he spilled the hot coffee all over one of the other interns. Well, it was another person to hate him, he concluded, standing in sputtering silence as she bustled to clean herself up.

Dex was most certainly awkward, unable to think of something to say as the girl ran out into the halls. He didn't follow; he'd only make it worse, as Dex had long since learned. And if there was one thing Dex didn't want, it was to make things worse. He didn't want the girl to get mad--madder--at him, he didn't need his boss flipping out because he was late with the coffee, and Dex didn't need to waste any more time off his lunch break. So instead of running after her, like he knew he should, Dex picked up another cup of coffee and headed back for his boss's office.

"No." Gianna answered with a nonchalant shrug. "I did say 'kick me' in a figurative way, if you failed to notice, dumbass." Gianna reminded him with a roll of her eyes. Sometimes, her cousin could be absolutely horrible. This was most definitely one of those times, when he took figurative things in a literal sense, which always led to rather heated arguments between the two. Not to say Gianna didn't enjoy one of those every now and then--she definitely did--but there were more pressing matters at the moment. Such as that friggin Wendigo. Those were always huge pains to deal with, considering that most of Gianna's plans concerning fire usually involved burning down a town, or forest, or city. Gianna had a thing for fire. It just grew too much around her... She'd always figured it was just the slight demonic essence she undoubtedly had due to her father. Demons and fire usually equaled lots of burning, right? Hopefully, that was what it was. She'd hate to have any gifts other than that. "Get it in a cave and burn it?" she offered, though she knew that wasn't really what they were going to do. "Maybe we could try a sort of..." Gianna didn't quite know, honestly. Why did the damn thing have to hide out in the woods? It was so hard to burn it out there. "Do you think we could manage to get in an oven or something? At that old lady's house?"

Dex sighed softly, refilling his boss' coffee and trudging back up the stairs. This time, he was careful to look around any corners and avoid any people by a wide radius. He didn't need to spill yet another goddamn coffee on another unsuspecting person. That would ruin his day further, which was the last thing the young intern needed. He still had homework to do for his next class at the end of the day, and Dex wasn't necessarily looking forward to getting in trouble if he didn't have it. Someone would decide that the advanced classes were too much for him if he didn't keep up at a rapid pace. Which, of course, meant that homework and studying were a constant. Because there was so much to know and not enough time to know it. The way most things worked. Nobody gets ahead, right?

Dex sighed softly, making a mental note to check on that girl the first chance he got, apologizing for the mess he made. Though he seriously doubted he'd get that chance; she'd likely avoid him like the plague... well.

[ sorry it sucks >.< I'm trying to get stuff done ]

The thing was, if Finn had actually meant when he called her a dumbass, Gianna would've beheaded him by now, and they both knew it. He could pretend his words were honest all he liked, but Gigi knew not even Finn was stupid enough to mess with her when her intelligence came into the question. "Finn," Gianna started after a moment, "with all the time you spend on that computer, you'd think that you'd have known this by now. I'm sure there's an oven big enough somewhere." Okay, maybe she wasn't taking this as seriously as she should, but give her a few moments and she'd have an idea. Once she had food in her system, digesting, and not on her plate. Unlike most girls who wouldn't be caught dead eating a lettuce leaf, Gianna was unashamed to be in a long, happy relationship with greasy, fatty foods. It was both an admirable not so admirable trait, depending on you looked at it. The blonde, as it stood, was rather proud of the way she could eat. It meant she was different from everyone else on a more normal level, that she didn't obsess over trivialities.

Five minutes later, Gianna leaned back slightly, looking down at her boots as she swirled around the ice in her empty glass. "Trap it in a cave, block the entrance, and set it on fire. Then, hang around long enough to make sure we won't burn down the whole ecosystem? And unless you've got any better ideas, you can't make fun of mine, Flounder."

Unlike Tilly, Dex wasn't lucky enough to make it even close to on time. He closed the door quietly behind him, slowly creeping to the one, dreaded empty desk as far away from the instructor as possible. And while no one wanted to be close to him, the problem with the seat in the back was getting there without getting noticed. And, if his presence in here hadn't been noted already, it sure would be the moment he took a step in that desk's direction. Dex was what people considered a klutz; he couldn't take a step without tripping or slipping or hitting his hand on something hard enough to leave a bruise that would last weeks. Still, Dex was anything if dedicated; the last thing he wanted was to be the instructor's personal chew toy for the next few hours, and if he got noticed, that's what he'd be.

Silent. Though he always made more noise when he tried to be quiet, Dex still found himself repeating that in his head. Silence, silence, silence. But he didn't want to look too suspicious, either. That would catch the eyes of the other students. And he didn't want to catch eyes, he just wanted to get to his seat. The best way to do that was to avoid suspicion, yeah? Okay, now was his chance. The instructor had his back turned for a few moments, and Dex took his chance. Step, step, step, step. All the way to his desk. A giddy grin spread across his bright face as he settled himself in his chair, unable to believe his luck. He pulled his feet under him, which was his fault. A large crash sounded as a cord that had wrapped itself around his foot was pulled, knocking a lamp to the floor.

Good job, Dex.
