message 102: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William stood aside, looking at the compass around his neck. He leaned his head on the staircase of the stairs and looked over at Syrena," Stop muttering, no one is here to listen".

message 103: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She looked up and glared at him. "I hope the other mermaid is wrong. that the curse kills all of you. You deserve it..."

message 104: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William shrugged," I could care less what you think, Syrena", he sighed. He moved off of the wooden stair case and shut his compass.

message 105: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She glared at him again until he went out of sight. Being tied up there wasn't much she could really do at the moment and she hated that but until they untied her she was stuck here.

message 106: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William sighed out at the ocean ahead, he looked at the sun set and watched the colours mesh together. He felt peaceful, and the ship and crew had finally become silent.

message 107: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She wasn't sure how long she'd been tied up at the mast for now, trying to get a bit more comfortable. Not easy. She doubted that she'd be able to get any sleep tonight.

message 108: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William looked aside to the mermaid again, unsure of her and how she would behave if he untied her. But he simply looked back out, ignoring her.

message 109: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She scowled as she saw him look at her. "So what after you find the treasure? Will you let me go then?" She questioned him. She wasn't sure if she'd be able to trust his answer but it would something maybe....

message 110: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William continued looking ahead.
"What use would you be once we finally have what we want?", he replied with a question.
Of course he would let her go. "I do not agree with wasting life, my captain and I would release you".

message 111: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "You don't agree with wasting life yet you're going after a treasure known to kill whoever touches it. Yeah. Makes perfect sense."

message 112: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments "If this is used in a right way, it brings back life", he sighed. William still payed no attention, instead he kept looking out, treasuring the beauty that the sunset cast over the sky.

message 113: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "And you don't know that. If you're willing to risk everyone's lives for a maybe then go ahead."

message 114: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments "I'm not willing, but I obey my captains orders because that is how it is", he said. He uncrossed his arms and placed his hands on the edge. He looked at her and said," This is how the land above the sea works, dear Syrena".

message 115: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She was frowning a bit, more out of confusion this time. So this human didn't want to go after the treasure then? "Then why not go against it? Surely if there were others that agreed it was a bad idea..."

message 116: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William sighed, he turned to her and said," It is not that easy. My loyalty lies deep with the captain, he is not only my captain but also my brother and friend. I can not abandon and go against him".

message 117: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena scowled again. " And if he was your either, your friend, then.wouldn't he listen to you when you say its a bad idea."

message 118: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments "I do not know", William shrugged and said honestly. He looked away from her and back up to the sun that had now set, the ocean was gleaming and the ship was moving slowly.

message 119: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena didn't say anything else, glancing out again at what she could see of the ocean. She couldn't wait to be able to get back out there....her family must be so worried by now...

message 120: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William sighed, he gave the ocean and sky once last glance before he walked away to check on the crew members. Sometimes he felt as though he was more of captain than the actual captain.

message 121: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((skip .ro next day?))

message 122: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments ((Sure, can you start?))

message 123: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena had somehow managed to fall asleep some time in the night. As the sun came, she started to blink awake, not sure how she fell asleep tied to the mast.

message 124: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William had been awake the whole night, he hadn't been able to sleep due to his restless mind that kept him up. Though now he looked terrible, hair was messy, bags under his eyes and his eyes blood shot. He looked aside to the captain who seemed relaxed and at ease.
But suddenly they came ahead a wide river that was near an ending, that drooped at the end.
"Captain...", William said, moving to the lower deck and peering over the corner.

message 125: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena couldn't exactly see what was happening from where she was. She tried to move a bit in her bonds, get a better look but still nothing. "What's going on?" She raised her voice a bit, her curiosity getting the better of her.

message 126: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William had heard Syrena but he had also heard the captain coming out of his cabin. William looked to the captain to see a wicked smile spread across his face.
"There is an edge! Do not grin like a fool captain!", William shouted, that made the crew scurry around the ship.

message 127: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((on app now so post well be short.))

Hearing that there was an edge she started struggling against the ropes again. If she survived the fall she might be able to escape, swim away from all this but there was no guarantee she would survive. she didn't even know how big the drop was.

message 128: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William saw Syrena struggle," There's no point, we are going to die". He did not know whether to believe it himself, but he thought it would be good to scare her just slightly.

message 129: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She was already a bit scared, glaring at him, though at the moment she stayed silent. God she hated humans. If she survived this she was never going near them again.

message 130: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William saw the crew rushing around, trying to make sure the ship drifted away. But it was too late, they were getting dragged into the pull of the waves. There was no use.

message 131: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "Get me off of this thing!" She was yelling but to no avail as she kept struggling against the ties keeping her to the mast. If she could get off maybe she could still have time to get away. Although a part of her knew that even that would be useless. Even for a mermaid the water would be too fast here for her to have much of a chance.

message 132: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William looked to Syrena, he walked to her and unbound her. What was the use? The cliff ahead would kill them anyway, it was too much of an impact. "Be of some use, we may all die together", William replied.
The captain simply stood there, looking at the cliff and laughing slightly," This is good".

message 133: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((so ideas to get them out of this?))

message 134: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments ((I say that we have them balance on the edge of the cliff, the water becomes still and they have to rock the boat to the right side))

message 135: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((I don't see how that would work though if they were so close to the edge. Maybe it does go over but not everyone is killed. A few others besides our characters survive the fall. And maybe Syrena reluctantly helps him? since he did kinda save her life by untying her there she feels the need to return the favor?))

message 136: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments ((yes! That's better than mine xD ))

message 137: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena looked over the edge of the ship, paling a bit as they neared the cliff. She might survive a fall but she wasn't sure. God she didn't want to die..... From the corner of her eye she saw the captain. He was actually happy about this?! Humans were insane...

message 138: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Before William could think he shouted," Everyone hold onto something!". He looked to Syrena and suddenly felt very bad for what he had done, for what he had caused her," I'm sorry, Syrena".
He looked at the front and saw the ship tipping, and finally the boat was falling into an abyss of ocean.

message 139: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She had grabbed onto the side of the ship, not sure what else t do. She glanced at him quickly as he said his apology, a bit surprised about it, but did it really do anything? She didn't know what to say to him so stayed silent, closing her eyes as the boat flew over the edge. As the boat hit the bottom it broke to pieces, her tail forming back as she submerged in the water, Hitting had hurt, but she was alive.

message 140: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) .

message 141: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments The ship had fallen, and broken into many prices. Men had landed and survived, but some had fallen and died. William was one to survive, but had a slight injury to his leg, he would be okay. For a few hours he had been unconscious, slowly the crew who had survived started to wake up from their unconsciousness.
William got up, his hair and clothes dripping with water," Is everyone okay?".

message 142: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((Wait a sec, did they land in the water or land? I had Syrena's tail reform because I thought it was water but your post makes it sound like land.))

message 143: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments ((Oh no, it's water, but it's shallow water, enough to stand in and enough to swim in))

message 144: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((Oh okay :) Thanks))

Syrena had gone under for a minute once her tail reformed, feeling so much better now that she was back in the water. Only problem now was that she had no idea where she was, no idea how to get home from here. A part of her wanted to just go now, try to find her way back, but another part was curious still at what had happened to those humans that had taken her. She stayed nearby but underwater for the most part, not wanting them to see her. She brought her head up just a little when she eventually heard them start to speak.

message 145: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William had prepared himself to not be as close to finding the treasure that they had set out for. He looked around but could not see the mermaid, so he sighed and let himself stop looking. Of course she would flee, they had taken her prisoner, william hoped that she was at least okay.

message 146: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Why was she even staying here? If she was smart she'd leave, try ti find her way home, or at least another colony of mermaids that could point her in the right direction... but here she still was. There was a lot .pf debre in the water from where the ship had fallen.

((Should the captain have been killed?))

message 147: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William scanned the area and suddenly stopped upon a face that should have escaped from here. "Syrena", he gaped, his eyebrows coming together and confusion spreading on his face.
"Why are you still here?", he questioned.

message 148: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She scowled a bit when he saw her, part of her just wanting to go back under and ignore him but.....as much as she disliked him and humans in general he had helped her.... "Maybe because I have no idea where I am now thanks to you?" She said then sighed, crossing her arms over her chest. "Look. You helped me by untying me from that mast, I probably would have been killed in the fall if you hadn't....Thought I should repay you for that..." She didn't like owing people.

message 149: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William scowled at her slightly, observing her and tilting his head up as he looked at her.
If she hated it so much why had she not just swam away?
"Fine", he said shortly," You can help by gathering as many injured men into a certain area, I need to see how many are still able to recover". He knew he was somewhat pushing his luck, but she had offered to help.
"Sir William!", he suddenly heard a shout that beamed a panic. He turned around to look at a boy who was in front of the captain. The captain who was severely injured.

message 150: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Great....helping the ones that had brought her here.... it wasn't too late to just swim away now. But she didn't do it. Muttering curses under her breath the whole time she tried to get a few of them back over to where the wreckage was. When she saw how badly injured the captain was though her first thought was Good I It was mainly his fault she'd been dragged into this after all. She didn't care what happened to him, hoped he did die.
