Niran | 1842 comments Williams forehead creased, this was the first time he had heard of it being cursed.
"What is the curse?", he asked, curious to know what the consequence of finding the treasure was.

message 52: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "Bad things start happening to whoever touches it. Eventually, not long after finding it they die a horrible death " She said, the whole legend of how it got that way coming to mind now. Why do you think that no ones even gotten .ir before? It kills them..."

message 53: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William suddenly grabbed her wrist, he pulled her up the slight stairs to the steering wheel of the ship. Then up onto the captain office, William rushed through the captains quarters and saw the captain at his desk.
"Tell him what you just told me", he said to the mermaid.

message 54: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She stumbled after him as she pulled him along, swallowing a but nervously ad the stood in front of the captain, repeating what she said a moment before.

message 55: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William looked to the captain to see an expressionless face, but suddenly his face turned into a grin and he had ended up laughing.
"Oh please", he roared in laughter," Of course you do not believe that. What lies".
William looked to his captain and said," How can she be lying? She is a mermaid who knows of this treasure!".

message 56: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Her eyes narrowed and she said scowled at his response. Fine. If they didn't believe her oh well.. let the curse do its work then....

message 57: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William kept arguing but the captain was hearing non of it.
"I will hear no more of this, shut your mouth before I do it myself, William", the captain said abruptly. William shut his mouth. He sighed and escorted the mermaid out alongside him.

message 58: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena didn't say anything as she came out with him, still hating her whole situation. First she gets kidnapped and now they wanted her to help them get a cursed treasure...as long as she didn't touch it though she would be fine right.... Her scowl deepened a bit. It was the humans' fault that the treasure was even cursed in the first place!

message 59: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William sighed in anger and frustration, the captain never listened to anyone, he only listened when he was completely drunk or happy due to a harlet.
He leaned on the deck of the ship and then shook his head out, he looked back at Syrena and said," Where is this treasure?".

message 60: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "Even knowing it's cursed you're still going after it?" She shook her head. Typical human...fit right in with everything she'd always been told about hw greedy they were. Willing to do whatever it took to get what they wanted...

message 61: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments "I am doing as my captain commands, that is what I have been doing my whole life", he said, giving her a sarcastic and cold stare.
She thought she knew everything already and she had only been on land for a few hours.

message 62: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She glared right back at him. "fine. I'll show you where it is. Don't blame me when the curse starts effecting you. It'll be your own fault when people start dying."

message 63: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments "It won't effect me", William said, looking at her and then looking back at the ocean and the sunset. He knew now what he needed to do, he would let the captain go seek this treasure whether it was bad for him or not.

message 64: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She didn't say anything in reply, her arms crossed. She wanted to just run, jump into the ocean. but could she make it to the edge before they caught her? She wasn't sure....and of she didn't she wouldn't et another chance....

message 65: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William grabbed her wrist tightly," And don't even think about trying to jump overboard". He pulled her down from the top deck and looked at the men with a firm nod. They took her and tied her to the wooden pole.

message 66: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena cursed as the men came and grabbed her, fighting against their grips. If she ever got back home she would never come to land again. Would warn all the others about the humans. Why hadn't she listened to all the stories she'd heard about them... It didn't matter now. She'd take them to their treasure and let the curse do it's work. Then she'd be free...

message 67: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William looked to the mermaid and sighed, he shook his head at himself. He was not like this.
But he had to be now, he had to keep her here.
As William looked out to the ocean he saw something at the corner of his eyes, a mermaid.
He looked to Syrena and then said," You have friends following us".

message 68: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Her eyes widened as she tried to get a glimpse of whoever was there. "Get out of here!" She shouted, hoping they heard her. "Stay away from the humans! Everyone was right about them!"

message 69: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William shook his head and rolled his eyes at the mermaid, he looked to the other one and saw that she had risen from the sea.
"What do you want?", William shouted.
The mermaid simply stared.

message 70: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena still couldn't get a good view of who it was. If she even knew them in the first place. " .go!" she yelled again.

message 71: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments "If you're here for the-"
"I am not here for the mermaid, do as you please with her, I do not know her. I am here to ask of the treasure you seek", the mermaid replied, it was like her voice was echoing.
William looked to Syrena and then back at the mermaid," Aren't you supposed to know of it?".

message 72: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena was also surprised when the mermaid asked about that. How could a mermaid not know of the treasure. Everyone knew of it. Knew the story of how it ended up cursed.

message 73: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments "I was banished from my people for falling in love with a human, a pirate at that", the mermaid responded, she came closer to the edge of the ship. "I hear this treasure can also bring people back from the dead, if you handle it wisely". William suddenly looked up from then ground, it could bring people back?!

message 74: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Jessica frowned. "I've never heard that." She said, able to see the other mermaid a bit better niw. "Where'd you here that?"

message 75: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments The mermaid turned her cold eyes to Syrena," I did not hear it, I have seen it".
William looked at the mermaid from the edge of the ship, he observed her to see if she was lying. He then looked back at Syrena and said," Do your kind know everything about this treasure?".

message 76: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "I mean...I would assume so.... it was a mermaid that cursed it in the first place." She said, a bit doubtful now. How was it possible....

message 77: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments The mermaid nodded her head slightly, agreeing with a mermaid making the curse.
William sighed and then looked back at the mermaid," What do you want?".
"I want someone brought back to life", she hissed, like it was an obvious answer.

message 78: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena shook her head, that was a stupid idea...there had to be a catch of some sort but she doubted anyone would listen to her. Why would they? And this mermaid seemed to think more like a human than any mermaid she knew....

message 79: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William looked at the mermaid," Who?".
"I want captain Djoko to be brought back to life". Williams eyes immediately widened, he knew of that man, of that pirate.
He was the most powerful, skilled pirate that ever lived and in front of William was his lover.

message 80: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "Bringing someone back from the dead is a stupid idea!" She had no idea who this Djoko person was , but wasn't about to ask. "you know what? Fine. Don't listen to me. But don't blame me when everything goes wrong."

message 81: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William looked to Syrena and said," Bringing back the dead is a bad idea, but the man she speaks of is a powerful man, one that can lead is to a victory". The mermaid smiled slightly, wickedly," He died on the island that the treasure is on, he is still there".

message 82: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "Well if she knows where the treasure is why not let her lead you to it! Let me go and leave me out of this! I don't want to get involved with something like this..."

message 83: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments "Silence yourself!", the mermaid hissed to Syrena," I can not go on or near that island, I am the one who put his body on the island. Something happened, I can not go near the island, it is as if there is a barrier between me and that land". William sighed and rubbed his head, so much mermaid drama he couldn't even comprehend.

message 84: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Well take them near it then! they'll see where it is then! I don't want to get involved in all this. I don't care about a stupid treasure!"

message 85: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments "What a foolish girl", the mermaid hissed, rolling her eyes and giving Syrena a disapproving look. "Did you not hear me? I can not go anywhere of the island, even the ocean of the island banished me from entering".

William sighed and rubbed his head," What will we get out of it? Why should we help you?".
William then realised something, he looked to the mermaid and replied to his own question," Because if the treasure brings life back, it can not take it away after that". The mermaid smirked and gave him a approving look.

message 86: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena frowned. "You think that if it brings this one person back it won't curse you? And if it still does? If the curse isn't lifted? How would she know that? The curse obviously killed the person she wasn't it to bring back. Do you really think that that will work out well? And why trust her. It's obvious she only wants one thing..."

message 87: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments The mermaid looked to Syrena sharply and angrily," May I kill her!?".
William looked to Syrena to tell her to keep her mouth closed, before she killed them all.
"No, unfortunately we need her", William sighed, then he looked back at the mermaid and said," But why would you know?".
The mermaid sighed," Because I am the one who put that curse on there, not me specifically. I had a voodoo witch do it".

message 88: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((I had an idea for the legend of how the curse was put on there. Do you want to hear it? I mean we can do it this way, I just have had this idea for a bit.)))

message 89: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments ((Go ahead))

message 90: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((My idea was kind of there was that there was this mermaid who's lover was killed by pirates that were after a certain treasure. She had been dealing a bit in the black arts and cursed it, killing the pirates that had killed her lover and the curse just continues to work it's magic. We could do both. Have that be the legend and your's be what really happened?))

message 91: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments ((Oh yeah! That sounds cool!))

message 92: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((^.^))

Syrena shook her head. "That might fool him but it would never fool another mermaid. Everyone knows the story of how the treasure was cursed. And that definitely isn't it.."

message 93: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William looked to the mermaid in the water and then Syrena, he was in complete bafflement as to who to believe. They were both mermaids, both supposed killers.
Suddenly the captains bed quarters opened and he stormed out," Oh dear god, does our mermaid know nothing?", he asked, motioning to Syrena.
"The other mermaid is right, that is the true story of the treasure".

message 94: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena turned as much as she could while being tied up, glaring at the captain as he came out. "I know the story I've always been told. The one that every mermaid I know knows of." She shook her head. Did it really matter anyway? If she lead them to it she could get away after that right...She wouldn't be upset if it did kill them. Humans were the monsters she'd always heard they were. They deserved it...

message 95: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments The captain walked to her and then looked her in the eyes deeply, glaring. "So far I am inclined to believe the other mermaid", the captain said. He looked to the other mermaid and then stopped dead in his tracks, he looked like he had been dead. His eyes wide and his mouth open, stretching his face out.
"Captain?", William asked, looking at him and then the mermaid out in the sea," What happened?".
"I know her, William", the captain said," She used to be my brothers lover".

message 96: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena's eyes widened at that. It still didn't completely match the legend but she was mostly shocked to hear that a mermaid and human had been lovers. How was that possible!? What mermaid would ever....

message 97: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments William looked to his captain, and friend, with a shocked look. His brother was in love with a mermaid?
"My, I haven't seen you in years, Erin", the captain commented. The mermaid tilted her head and said," Indeed we have not. It has been many years, but we must focus. I want to bring your brother back to life".

message 98: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrean was scowling again, staying silent npw as she leaned back against the post she was tied to. She still thought that this was a horrible idea, but there wasn't really anything she could do about it. They wouldn't listen to her...and now even if she did get a chance to try to get away the other mermaid would probably try to stop her...

message 99: by Niran (new)

Niran | 1842 comments Everything was a blur.
Before William could blink or even more the captain ordered the crew to move the sails to follow the mermaids instructions. Of course the mermaid was not allowed to come.

message 100: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Syrena was muttering under her breath the whole time about the 'stupid humans' how the other mermaid was ' a traitor to her kind' Even if the chances of getting away were slim Syrena would still take them first chance she got.
