Finish What You Started Challenge (Closing Out Series)

OK Ezi, I would like to try doing this. I will go read about what I need to do to get ready. It looks like just list 5 series I want to finish. Is that correct?

Well, it's not just 5. ☺
We all have some kind of goal for year - how many series we would like to finish till the end of 2014.
You can make list of your unfinished series (each of us have thread for that), but you need to have at least 2 books left for it to count.
Then each month you 'nominate' 5 series you would like to read next month and somebody choose one for you. You don't have to finish picked series next month, but you have to read minimum 2 books from it. You can read other series as well. Goal is to finish as many series as you can.

(and word of advice, Ezi likes to 'fix' your goal if she thinks it's to low for you ☺)

Thank you! And I want to complete at least 10 series this year. I didn't know how many I had unfinished until I started putting the list on my thread, :O But really my aim is to take bigger chunks out of the series I start. I have a habit of reading the first in a series and then not going back to the rest, :/ So this will encourage me to start and finish a series, :)

Me too! I couldn't believe how many I had started and never finished. I've gotten a lot better with ones that I've started recently. The buddy read thread helps a lot. You should stop over there when the February thread goes up. It keeps you motivated when you have someone to discuss what you love and hate about a story.

Okay I finished for my February challenge. It was EXCELLENT!

I almost don't want to read the 6th book and get caught up :D I like knowing I still have one out there in case I'm desperate for a great book, a sure thing. BUT I do want to get some of these open series off my list.

So far this year is not helping me get rid of series. Although I have more that are getting down to 1 or 2 books, so maybe by the end of the year the numbers will even out.

I've read only 19 books that are next in series (some of them from the same series). I've only finished or caught on 6 of them!
