I want to join! Im not sure how many i will be trying to finish though but, i will count and find out. my guess will be 10 to 20 series.

I don't know if you saw this, so I am posting it again.

I would like to join, but I can't start until January. I am trying to complete another challenge, so I have what I am reading for the rest of the year all planned out.

Also, I am reading the first book in two different series before the end of the year, if I like them, can I add the series to my list of series to finish?

I just created a list of series where I've read everything that's out and added expected publication days. It seems 11th of Februrary will be my happy day as two great books come out :P

I didn't set my goal, but you put 10 series. There is no way I can get caught up on 10 series since I only read about 100 books a year. I would like to set my goal as reading a total of 20 books from series.

Okay, I did a series challenge this year...I read 3 books, caught up, abandoned or finished 15 series to date and I started 16 series this year. I guess I'm not doing very good at closing up loose ends! :D

So obviously, I need this challenge, but if I have to actually finish the entire series, I would plan on 10. I would like to start in January.

I have 204 entries on Fictfact and I know that is not all of the series I have read or started since I just recently started going back through my book lists and adding them to that website.

So I decided to start listing series to complete from most recently read first by going through my read shelf on GR. So far, I have 22 series to complete and 10 series I am current in but have a book coming out in 2014 just from October and November. I did not really realize how many books I read are part of a series.

This challenge is going to be SOOOO helpful.

That's kind of what I did. Picked the ones I'm closest to finishing and that I've read recently enough to not need to reread earlier ones at this point. I have a few more I'd like to finish but I need to reread the first couple of books.

I was having a lot of trouble keeping track of what was happening in a lot of series. Especially paranormal ones. So I decided early this year to focus on a few and finish/catch up on them before getting into others. This challenge will help me continue that into 2014.

You all are making me not feel so bad about having so many unfinished series! I thought I had a lot, but I only have about 30 on my list of series I really want to finish (8 of which I'm current with). I only have another 20 series on my maybe list.

I do have 300+ books on my series-to-try shelf though and I generally only add the first book in the series until I've tried it out - so that's a lot of series I'd like to try.

A lot of the ones on my Fictfact list are series I don't really care if I finish or read in order. Most of them were put there in the excitement of joining Fictfact way back when. Or because I was doing challenges based on # in a series.

Woohoo! I went to the library last night and got five books that I need to read for series. Once I finish those, I'll have one series finished already. Not the one that was picked for me for December, but hey, it will be one step closer!

...Granted, I just finished the first book in a series today, so now I have to add a series to my overall list, but oh well.

On the rules page, it say read the next in the series - minimum two. Does that mean we have to read 2 books in that series?

Yeah, we're trying to read two books a month from whichever series is chosen for you. That's why we aren't including series that we only have one left to be caught up. You can read more than two, but try to read at least two.
