I still have some of those big, older series to start.

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 186 comments I have to smile looking at this list this way...and seeing the books that started it all - Irish Hearts Trilogy. The first one was my very first Nora book and it has remained one of my favorites as has the whole trilogy. Just good romance.

Yeah, really. Talya, thats what I was about to say, lol! I have just gotten thru copyin' down both sets of lists of her stand alone novals and even her trilogies. U know,I couldn't believe how many trilogies that she's already written veruses her stand~alone novals...I think that it runs a real close race, lol! She sure has written abunch of books (n a good way, that is,lol). I mean, I know that I haven't read all of her novals and trilogies but I sure am gonna try my best to read all of them. Who knows...that could take me to my 100th birthday or so,lol! Just kiddin',ya'll! I just love the fact that she's got so many books to choose from and gives me such a great feelin' to still be a fan of hers and try to understand that all of her books have all went thru the publication process (just like all of her 2014 brand new releases will soon have to go thru that same process, too). I don't know about u Talya, but with me, I so look forward to all of her books and I try my best to buy as many of them as I possibly can (if that's even humanly possible or whatever). But anyways...I also love how Nora can always come up with different ideas and different plots to all of her novals and trilogies,I think that's just so cool of her!!!!

Quynh | 218 comments The Irish hearts trilogy were my first Nora reads too! I don't even remember how old I was, maybe 16(?) when I started reading her books. My love of romance bloomed from there. :)

Leane | 50 comments Years back I read the three sisters island trilogy and the Donovan trilogy.
Does anybody have any recommendations on which Nora Roberts series I should read next?

message 9: by Quynh (new)

Quynh | 218 comments All of them lol... But you can start with Chesapeake Bay series, 4 books in total, you'll love the Quinn men! *sigh* I enjoy her older trilogies but you can't really go wrong with any of them. The Key trilogy, Gallagher of Ardmore trilogy, Dream trilogy, Bride Quartet are all great.

If you like elements of paranormal, there's the Circle trilogy, Signs of Seven, Cousins O'Dwyer.

I recommend starting with Chesapeake Bay books, I'm quite partial to that one.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1252 comments I love the Chesapeake Bay series also. The Gallaghers of Ardmore are also a favorite. Both represent the best NR has ever done.

Thank you. I did like the witchy part of things but those books were loaned to me by someone who recommended them so I didn't specifically choose them.
I will start with Chesapeake Bay and let you know how it goes.

Thank you as well, Anita!

You have to accept that NR writes a lot of supernatural lite series. I'm not into supernatural, but NR is a great author, so I read them too.

message 15: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Uthe | 1 comments I'm trying to remember what the first book of NR I read. I have been searching the titles and descriptions to find it. It was a book I borrowed from a friend of a friend and cannot seem to track down the book. I remember it being a good book and my first taste of romance and it has stuck with me for some 15+ years. I think it started with a woman who's car broke down and her meeting a mechanic or someone with a garage that helped her. I can't remember anything else of the story - maybe the woman was running away with a baby or maybe she was just traveling home, possibly the name on his shirt was significant to the whole story. Can anyone help me identify the book? I'd like to reread. Small chance it was not a NR book but that is small chance. Thanks for any help!!!
