Dracula Eyewitness Classics edition adaption or not?

Are you a 100% sure on that? I own the book in the 2nd link up there and, I questioned why it needed to be combined back when I added it to my shelves. I was told it's technically abridged and not adapted therefore it was to be combined.
Corrine, does it have the original text but with some bits omitted, or has it been rewritten in more kid-appropriate language?

From the intro "This Eyewitness Classic edition explores this fascinating background, placing Dracula firmly in his orginal context, where Bram Stoker created him. Stoker's own words bring the famous character into focus..."
The original is like a 400 page book and this cuts it down to less than 60 with illustrations. So I can't really tell if those paragraphs are rewritten or just highly edited. Seems like the same language style. I'm due a re-read. I just got the audio from the library, that is why I was even looking in the listings. So perhaps I can answer better after I read it.

I believe the librarian note on the non-english version is wrong. I wish it was correct because the book is cut down to make it more enjoyable for juvenile readers therefore I hate having it combined but that's besides the point. Should the librarian note be edited and the book be combined?
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1... has librarian note saying it's an adaption don't combine
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7... no note and it is combined
