Hi Everyone!!!
I'm, like all the rest in this corner, a new member of goodreads! I haven't really made much of a mark yet... but I'm hoping to dedicate more of my time to my books once I get the chance. I really like the atmosphere that you've created here. It's fun!
I'm looking forward to future discussions and am planning on conquering some of the books on the group's shelves.
Yay! Take care everyone

I went through the list and figured out which tasks could be fulfilled by books I already own. If there were certain lists or bookshelves that had to be taken into consideration, I checked those out to see what I had or had already been wanting to read.

Julie, welcome.
Check out the thread folders, you will see one that says Cynthias challenges...
They are reading challenges broken into the seasons...

Sharon Ellis | 176 comments Again, good mornign to All!
Hmm Lori, you spotted it when you said "Welcome all you ladies" - so I scrolled up to the top and it just says "Newbies" - yet I guess we are all girls here! That's kind of intetesting, I think!
Maybe I could sart a guestion - then we all answer and also ask a question - so we can get to know each other better.
My question: What animals do you own, or share your home with?
I have two wonderful black lab dogs. Recently I noticed that we are sharing our home with two beautiful swallow birds who are making their mud nest up on our top porch. I watched them build their nest each day, bringing in mud and straw, grass. The mom and dad both work and both sit on the eggs. The nest must be with eggs now, cause they are taking turns sitting there for long periods of time.
OK, now answer the question and pose another question, if you wish.
Love and hug! Sharon

Oh, wow!! So many comments, how exciting! Well, I haven't been online for a while, I went to Santa Fe for the weekend. It was wonderful, the museums there are fabulous and very reflective of local art. Hi Sharon, Michelle, Katie and everyone else. Hope to talk to you real soon. Keep the comments coming!

My favorite books are almost all classics. I love Fyodor Dostoevsky novels because I think he has great insight into the workings of the human psyche. But there are contemporary novels that I enjoy as well. How about you?

Emily, I read Bros Karamazov, but have three of four other novels by him sitting on my shelves waiting patiently to be read. I was really impressed with his style.
