"No." Shimmer stated firmly. "You need to go back to camp. How are you going to lead the camp if you die out here??"
Shimmer started tearing up too, but quickly brushed then aside.
*yawn* Laila stumbled a little and yawned. Her stomach rumbled. She tugged on Shimmer's tail."Mummy, I hungwy." she mewled.
Laila stared at Sunset."D-dying?" she whispered."Mommy, you gots to help! I needs to help too! Everybody needs to help! Come on!" Laila flapped her wings and started to run.
Shimmer nodded. She turned to Laila. "It's okay." she smiled, encuraginly. "Please get some yew leafs and cobwebs." she called after the two.
Panting hard, Laila flapped her wings and lifted off the ground. Soaring alongside Sunset, she caught a cobweb on her paw. Then another and another.

"No." Shimmer barked. "I won't let you die."
Geena whimpred, and her eyes said that it was too late, nothing would help."Before I die, can you take me too my den?"
"Of course." Shimmer sniffed. "But don't keep saying your going to die." She carefully helped Geena into her den.
Geena was panting and hobbled over, "I want you to be leader....you are very helpful and young, what a leader should be."She fell on her side in her nest.
"No! I couldn't!" Shimmer began. "I think someone like Sasha would do a better job." she insisted.
"I may be dying, but while I'm still leader, my word is law." barked Geena.
Shimmer nodded her head obediantly while her heart was screaming no.
"I know you think you are too inexperianced, but you have all the qualitys of a good leader. I saw it when you were born, heck, I helped your mom name you because your pelt shimmred like the sun...which was a sign you were a leader of Sun Pack." Geena said weakly, but proudly.
Shimmer smiled shyly and proudly. "Thank you." she smiled, fighting to keep back her tears.
"These 8 years of leading my pack have been the best of my life, and I'm proud to die for my pack." Geena suddenly gagged, she said very weakly, 'Thank you Shimmer, for everything."
She closed her eyes, she breathed once, then twice, then no more.
Shimmer collapsed and lay weeping by her leader's side.
"Goodbye and lead your pack well, shimmer." said Geena's voice before it dissapeared.
Shimmer nodded and wiped away her tears.
Wolves gathred around the den.
Shimmer padded out. "Geena is dead." she barked to thte wolves, her voice cracking a bit. "She left me in charge. I will need help. Anyone want to voluteer?"((g2g now for real! Bye!))
The wolves all murmerd in shock and grief.
Shimmer looked gratefully at Sunset. "Sunset will be the new 'deputy'". She barked for everyone to hear. "Now everyone rest. It's been a shocking day." She gestured for Sunset to follow her into the leader's den.
Ember Ashes watched.
Shimmer sat down in the bed and turned around to Sunset. "What I tell you doesn't leave this den. Is that understood?" she quietly asked.
Laila sobbed and hung her head. Whimpering, she snuggled up to Shimmer's side.
Shimmer licked her head comfortingly and turned back Sunset.
Laila went over to Geena's body and lay down beside it. Closing her eyes, she wished she could talk to her just one time.
Shimmer nodded and sighed. "I honestly have no idea what I'm supposed to do." she confessed in a whisper. "I havent' been in camp that long. I don't even know why Geena picked me! That's why I needed someone like you."
Laila looked up at Shimmer."I will help you too, mommy." she said. "You will be a good leader."
Shimmer looked kindly at Laila. "Thank you, dear." she smiled, licking her forhead.
"Should I do anything?" Shimmer asked. "Does anyone need help or anyone becoming adults?" ((idk if they have 'comming into adulthood' stuff.))
Ember Ashes flicked his tail to signal Shimmer that they needed to talk.
Shimmer padded over. "Yes?"
"You need to make decisions for yourself...we know your nervous, but Geena was too, but you'll get used to it..but you can't just rely on them, why not go to the Moonstone to get help." Ember Ashes said.
Shimmer nodded. "Thanks." She smiled. ((AT THE MOONSTONE:))
Shimmer padded inside and made her way to the rock. She sat down pressed her nose against its cold surface. Instantly she was transported to the tribe of her ansestors.
Geena appeared with three other wolves.
Shimmer instantly was on her feet. "Geena!" she smiled happily. She then became sad. "I-I'm sorry." she stammered. "I knew I wouldn't make a good leader."
"Believe me, I was like you." smiled Geena licking her muzzle.
Shimmer smiled. "I just....don't know what to do! Can you help me?"
