I read this book back in the late 1980's early 1990's. It was about a coming of age of a female teenager. How she evolves depends on which planet she landed. She goes from rich to poor to rich again. On one of the planets she almost gets lost in forest of drug plants. at this point it was almost like the pied piper. The cover had a planet in the forefront with a blonde girl looking over ir with a patchwork coat.
