I'm assuming Connor and Cam will come to some sort of resolution. I almost wonder if Risa's going to die to make that happen though. I thought Cam would end up with Una because of the guitar thing but it doesn't look like it right now.
Executing the guards seems pretty stupid. That's elevating the thing to a whole new level.

Aww Austin is dead. I was hoping we'd see more of him. Though with how unwounds keep showing back up, we still might.

I like how Cam keeps talking about his internal community. It seems like he's trying to keep them alive as much as be himself.

I also like how Grace declared Connor "the bees knees" since that's exactly what I thought when I saw it. It reminds me of Spanish class where we each had to take a Spanish name and one of my friends would always take Cristobal since it looked like Crystal ball.

Ack! A Starksy harem. Ewww. He's really deluded now. Then again take a teenager, give them unlimited power and no supervision and it's surprising more of them didn't go off the deep-end. Not a good plan to make important life decisions when your emotions are all over the map.

I didn't expect Starksy to be such a baby when Bam confronted him. He acts like a bully where as soon as someone stands up to him he crumbles.

Wow, they're making him into a terrorist. Crazy... I didn't think he needed the help. I wonder if it's actually from Proactive Citizenry. Since they made the comment before about them playing both sides maybe they're causing kids to become terrorists to make everyone side against them. Ahh yes, Hayden pretty much says that right after.

And another side to the war. Well. I suppose if everyone dies there's no more unwinding.

Part 6 & Epilogue

Ha! They found Risa. Interesting that they left Lev just before they got to her. It's like they can never all be in the same place again.

Ooo. I like the ending. It reminds me of a lot of the stuff they're working on now with growing organs. The book reminds me a bit of another book I read (that I didn't like) with a premise of a wonder drug made from special marijuana seeds that cured literally every disease and all the big pharma companies kept trying to squash it. I do hope that if anything like that (or this) ever exists that people won't be that greedy. You'd think that they'd run with that profit machine as fast as they could before others caught up. It'd sink any other company.

Plus you'd probably still have unwinding since the skillset you get with the parts wouldn't be there with the grown ones.

I remember reading about the scaffolding that they can print now to grow cells on top of to make body parts. I honestly don't think we're that many years off of printing our own body parts.

I would definitely agree with you on your feelings about Part 3. I'm more into the book now than I was at the beginning, but it does feel a bit repetitive.

I've never quite made up my mind on how I feel about Cam. I feel bad for him because he obviously didn't ask to be made, but at the same time, he hasn't really done much that's made me really like him. Although that general and senator telling him that he's basically just a bunch of parts and not an individual made me wish Cam would reach over and punch them.

I got sidetracked reading a different book for a team challenge, so I just started part 4 today. So far, I was very surprised by the revelation of the fact that Cam has Wil's hands, and I'm very interested to find out what Una does with him.

Also curious to see what happens with Hayden now that he's with the storks.

I haven't had much chance this week to get online and post my thoughts!

I'm really not sure what Starkey thinks he's going to accomplish. He's achieved his goal of notoriety, but now what? I'm looking forward to karma (hopefully) biting him in the next book.

I find it so interesting that our technology today really isn't that far off from printing body parts. It boggles the mind! I really liked how the book ended. It was a great set up for book 4.

That being said, a part of me feels like this book was largely filler, just building up to the final book. It was good, but there were many times I felt like not much was happening.
