Jacqueline Smith | 21 comments If you are an author and looking for a great way to celebrate the upcoming holidays, please consider donating one or several of your e-books or signed copies of your books to Blue Remy’s Books for Troops! You can find all the information you need here: https://www.facebook.com/blueremysboo...

There is also an event to which you can RSVP: https://www.facebook.com/events/25903...

Please consider giving to those who’ve sacrificed so much to keeping not only our country, but countries all over the world safe.

Note: This is NOT limited to Americans! The giving has reached authors all over the world!

Loretta (lorettalivingstone) | 134 comments Yup, I'm already doing this, but through a different scheme. I hope you get lots of donations.

Laurel Rockefeller (laurelarockefeller) | 144 comments Does anyone know of any similar book drives for military personal from other countries? I am certain those serving from Canada, UK, and dozens of other countries could also really use some ebooks and signed books.

Andrea (andyb0810) | 107 comments Awesome idea. Just sharing it on my fb pages too.

Jacqueline Smith | 21 comments Thanks, everyone! And Laurel, I'm pretty sure this event is international. I am not the one who created it, I'm just participating and sharing. However, the woman who did create it posted that there are donations coming in from as far away as Australia!

Jessie McClain (jessiemcclain) | 29 comments This is an amazing idea!

Pamela Beverly (writesistah) | 79 comments Great idea! Are the books just for guys or women troops, too and how will the books get categorized: male-oriented versus chick-lit?

message 10: by Jacqueline (new)

Jacqueline Smith | 21 comments Pamela, I'm not entirely sure as I am not the one in charge of the event. I believe that they are accepting books of all kinds, however, the woman who set it up originally designed it for her husband, who is overseas. You can find all of the information here: https://www.facebook.com/blueremysboo... or here: https://www.facebook.com/events/25903... :)

Jacqueline Smith | 21 comments This is the description on the event's page:

"Christmas spirit is just that ... the gift of giving unconditionally. This month, we're doing just that.

Giving.

This is a call to all authors, bloggers, actors ... or just supporters to spread the word for the month of November until December 16.

My husband is deployed, and reading is a comfort to him, and so many others, since all they get to see is hundreds of miles of dessert every day. What a better way to entertain, than to give the most precious gift of all?

Signed Books.

My husband has agreed to receive the books and hand them out, in support of us authors, getting our names out there, as well as us giving a pretty awesome gift!

I am hoping to get pictures of this event as he hands them out.

Who's game????"
