Yup, I'm already doing this, but through a different scheme. I hope you get lots of donations.
Does anyone know of any similar book drives for military personal from other countries? I am certain those serving from Canada, UK, and dozens of other countries could also really use some ebooks and signed books.

Thanks, everyone! And Laurel, I'm pretty sure this event is international. I am not the one who created it, I'm just participating and sharing. However, the woman who did create it posted that there are donations coming in from as far away as Australia!
Great idea! Are the books just for guys or women troops, too and how will the books get categorized: male-oriented versus chick-lit?
Pamela, I'm not entirely sure as I am not the one in charge of the event. I believe that they are accepting books of all kinds, however, the woman who set it up originally designed it for her husband, who is overseas. This is a call to all authors, bloggers, actors ... or just supporters to spread the word for the month of November until December 16.
My husband is deployed, and reading is a comfort to him, and so many others, since all they get to see is hundreds of miles of dessert every day. What a better way to entertain, than to give the most precious gift of all?

My husband has agreed to receive the books and hand them out, in support of us authors, getting our names out there, as well as us giving a pretty awesome gift!
I am hoping to get pictures of this event as he hands them out.
